I hope you don't think me a hypocrit if for admitting that a sermon on rest kept me up all night. I would like to only preach from the lessons that I have learned and mastered. But those sermons would be very short, and honestly, I can't think of what they would be. Instead, I mainly preach on lessons I am learning and share my own experiences with Christ.

Jesus seems okay with me preaching from my struggles. At least he blessed today's sermon. I came up with the most interesting and pointed parts of this sermon while I was not sleeping at 4:00.

So I hope you are okay with me preaching from real life as well. I really do believe everything I say. I believe Jesus' love for me is pure enough to free me from obsessing over other loves. I believe God's approval of me frees me from the slavery of seeking the approval of others. I believe that God's provision will not run out, even if my money does. And I believe all those things come together to give me rest deep in my soul.
