I remember when I started back at my Mom's old church that I heard we had this interesting idea going on there. So I looked around to see who to contact to try and experience this small group. No one seemed to know who to contacted....so I finally went to the Minister after several had expressed the same thing and in months faded away. The minister, Bill M., did not seem to know much about it. In fact, he had not attended one.

It turned out that the man who started and ran the small groups was one of the mostly worldly, materialist guys in the church. His own group had people leaving as fast as they were joining and complaining how shallow the teachings were. This leader also left the church for the "in" new, fast growing church that opened down the road. The small groups broke up to one still getting together. And Bill M., he never did get smart but let these group fall to the way side as he moaned over the lack of church growth.
