It is a great privilege for me to recommend this delightful children’s book to you. I highly recommend Abby’s Christmas Dress for your family and as a gift for your friends and family.

It is a wonderful true story of a darling little girl, her precious time spent with family one Thanksgiving, and of course, her Christmas dress.

It is not only for the heart-warming narrative or the fun, cheerful illustrations that I recommend this book to you (even though I am privileged to know both the author and illustrator personally). It is due to the story behind this story and the purpose for the book and its proceeds that I am so pleased and even rejoice in this recommendation.

As mentioned above, this is a true story. Abby is a delightful girl who is presently at home with the Lord, as indicated on the dedication page. This book is the result of her life, a grandmother’s desire to memorialize her in a true-to-life way, and a testimony to the sufficiency of God’s grace.

All proceeds from Abby’s Christmas Dress will go to Abba Fund, which specializes in helping couples adopt children who need loving parents! That too is a testimony of the sufficiency of God’s grace.

When I hold this little book about this little girl in my hands and read it to my children, who were friends with Abby, I realize a few things:

By God’s grace, this family is grieving well.

By God’s grace, Abby’s life was a true blessing to those who knew her.

By God’s grace, Abby’s life is going to be a blessing to other children and parents she never knew.

It is so very true, children are a blessing from the Lord!

By the way, Abby has a little brother now that she will meet one day!!
