It is estimated that there are 10 million Filipinos outside the Philippines, more than 10% of our total population. I can empathize a bit being a regular traveler myself and having lived for a few months in other countries as part of my work as a scientist. In fact, I am writing this blog in Wollongong, Australia while attending a climate change meeting. So I know how it feels to be homesick and to long for the warmth of our native Pinas (especially during winters!).
In almost every country I visit, there are fellow Filipinos. Just this morning, my wife (who is with me) met a Filipina working here in our hotel. One of the important reasons we launched this ministry is to reach out to you our oversees kababayans. Our prayers are that these Tagalog sermons will be used by God to feed your souls even if you are thousands of miles away. It is especially heartening to note that some of you who have downloaded our sermons are based in countries where Gospel-preaching is severely regulated if not totally banned.
May the Lord Jesus be your comfort wherever in the world you maybe!
