Life or Death - Radio Broadcast for November 21, 2012 I stopped at an ATM to get some cash and just as the money started coming out this guy comes around the corner with a big pistol pointed right at me. I was surprised but I immediately begin to pray and ask God what to do. I asked the man; "what do you want?" He paniced and began to look around and said; "which way did they go?" I felt led to say: "maybe that way!' So off he went and I scrambled back to my car and left the area. I felt like I had dodged a bullet that night and began to thank to the Lord for sparing my life.
In Jeremiah 21:8-9 we read: “Now you shall say to this people, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. He who remains in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence; but he who goes out and defects to the Chaldeans who besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be as a prize to him. (NKJV)
Jeremiah was God's warning beacon of certain destruction of Jerusalem and the way to live was to surrender to those who would destroy the city. Life and death were the choices. Jerusalem was going to be destroyed because of all the evil the kings and the people had done in her, but God had provided a way of escape.
This earth will one day be destroyed for all the evil people have done. But God has provided a way of escape. Surrender to the one who will lead the destruction of evil, to Jesus Christ. If you give your life to Him, you will be spared and will live forever. Life and death are set before you. Surrender to God and live.
