You have instructed this Pastoral Search Committee not to be anxious, worrisome or
overly concerned for anything. Instead we are to bring everything to you in prayer and thanksgiving. Your word says if we do this, you have promised us that your peace which passes all understanding shall keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We the committee come to you now for ourselves and on behalf of our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus at Pinelands. We pray that you will touch the committee members’ hearts and minds, reminding us that you will provide the man of God to lead your church, because you are God, sovereign above all things.

Father, we do ask in the name of Jesus that we the committee be of one accord with each other in Christ and that you would open our eyes and hearts to you in the process, review and selection of your choice. Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that we would apply the learning from our devotion on how to identify a servant leader from among our candidates. Please give us the ability to discern among the candidates those that have the qualities of agape love, humility, selflessness, vision, trust, empowerment and service. We also pray that our church would stay encouraged, knowing that in all things God works for the good of those who love him and who have been called according to His purpose.

Father, we thank you for your love and care for us, and in all ways providing for our needs as your church. Thank you Father, for it is in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior we pray. Amen.
