The Breath of Life and the Bread of Life Radio Broadcast for September 10, 2012
When breathing stops there is but a few minutes of life left. If breath is not restored quickly, the body begins to die and at some point it is irreversible. When life departs the nature of existence changes: the souls of those who reject God are held for judgment, those who have received Christ are in the presence of the Lord. If Christ is in you then you are in Christ and will be with Him.
In John 6:56-57 we read: He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
God gives the breath of life to man, when that breath ceases so does life. But God also gives the Bread of Life to men that whoever eats it will have eternal life. God gives life to the body and offers life to the soul. Jesus lived because of the Father, so we who receive Him, live because we have the Son. We eat His flesh and drink His blood by believing in Him and when we do this we have the Bread of Life within and our soul is forever saved. If we partake of Christ we live because we have Him.
If Christ is not in us then we are not of Christ. If we refuse to partake of Him then there is no life in us, just breath. Someday, breath will cease but the Bread of Life lasts for eternity and the living soul lives on ever to be present with the Lord. But you must take that bread into yourself. You must believe in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, the Bread of Life as your only hope. Don’t delay, trust Christ today.
