I think for those that are praying for me will find the latest development interesting.

Yesterday, I was making plans to put a few hours at building the last two outside wall signs (32 feet by 4 feet) and put them up (I am terribly scared of heights). Then as the Lady in the office (Bonnie) and me were going through the year's calendar for what days off (holidays...always closed on Sundays)....she states a man she knows is coming in. So I was in my office and I heard a familiar voice with a heavy accent.

In walks a man who proclaims that he put a bid in for the business and shortly he expects to own the storage company. WHAT? Here was the man I spoke with just a few days ago at the storage place in Swartz Creek (about 10 miles west) when I picked up my Uhaul to move my signs to my new store (Fenton). We had talked and he related how in Flint years ago he used to own a Pawn Shop and also used to buy gold. A nice man but a little forceful in presentation. We exchanged some experiences (mostly from him) and then we both moved on to our business needs for the time.

Basel went out of his way to greet me and we talked in front of Bonnie about the one sign on the wall and he wanted me to have a key to the place, extend the hours and allow me to be open from 8 AM TO 6 PM (I had originally asked the current owner if I can be opened from 7:30 to 6:30 but settled for 8 AM to 5 PM for now. So now....if Basel gets to purchase the place....then I will push for the original hours I want (7:30 AM to 6:30 PM - Monday through Friday, & Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM). This way I can be available for the rush hour traffic going to work and coming home.

The cool thing is that he suggested I could help Bonnie out when she is not in the office too! I told Bonnie that I could run the place when she has her day off (the place is closed on Sundays) and that on Wednesday nights she could leave at 5 PM to help her husband with the youth program at her church as she normally does!

So what is God up to?

Then yesterday, Bonnie's husband suggested he come up and help me to construct the sign frames and help put them up on the walls outside. We had a lot of fellowship and were able to get one sign up (started at 1 PM and stop at 7 PM). The construction for the 3rd and last sign is basically done with the frames and will probably take 3 hours to finish this morning!

It is so nice to work with Christians again!!! Praise God for ALL HIS HELP!!!!

Where is this going? I have no idea!

OH...another thing...... Monday I received an email that I started earlier and the respond came through. A set of books from John Gill from the early 1700's I had been looking for and have an automatic search going (His commentary on the Bible - Old Testament.....I had received the New Testament, 1st edition from the mid 1700's and wanted to see about acquiring the Old Testament....still do but so far the prices are too far beyond me.) When everything was done via email and phone conversations....I realized that the book he was selling was from the 1729 and not the commentary. BUT then I did some research and discovered that he was probably selling John Gill's own personal first copy of his book on Divinty which did not print until 1769. So I double checked the date and put the book in layaway for 97 days....selling price $535.00!!!!!!! What a find!!!

Yes, God is surely blessing and blessing!!! Where is HE going with this business? Time will tell!!!!

Please keep praying that the Lord will prosper the business and also prayer for protection against the Devil and his tools. Hoping that God will let me use most of the profits after all debts are paid to help all the local churches initially and then help churches be built in foreign lands (personally seeing to it with staff planted till the work is done). So please help pray.
