For centuries church leaders have argued over how involved the Holy Spirit should be in the lives of believers after the initial promise was given during the season of Pentecost, and after the Lord's apostles passed away. Brother Case will be teaching what the scriptures say about it through a life-giving presentation of that truth.
In the same way that our Lord was misunderstood, abused, maligned and even killed when He was here, so the Holy Spirit is misunderstood, abused, and maligned in the world today - even targeted for death by many believers. (Paul writes that He can be grieved and even quenched / extinguished.) It is not surprising that some truly God-fearing Christians would shy away from Him since so many other believers attribute all kinds of manifestations to Him that He has nothing to do with! We should not let those in error deter us from the truth, however. It is important to remember that one of the greatest tools Satan uses against God's plan is to give God credit for things that He is not the author of - whether they seem to be good or bad. So the third Person of the Trinity has taken this kind of abuse since His grand entrance into the world took place nearly 20 centuries ago. Notwithstanding, He is still alive and well!
We should have an expectation of personal leadership from the Holy Spirit who lives in every born again believer, and who desires to be active in our everyday lives. It is especially important that we know and understand His leadership if we are called to lead others by Him.
