The Lord has been answering prayers. There was a situation within the leadership which has caused major problems for years in the main church in Suriname. This last week, there was a complete restoration of leadership. The leader who had been sideways has made a complete turnaround and is resuming full work.
The churches will also be ordaining three national preachers this Sunday who have in training for several years. Br. David Kago is from the main church; Br. Henkie Losia is from Winti Wai; en Br. Mejo Banwarie is from Sunny Point. All three churches will meet together. We are most grateful.
Second, we were wondering how to transport our things from South Bend to Powell, Tennessee. We had too much for our car, and I originally thought about renting a small truck or a pod. However, there was only enough for a minivan. Tuesday, when visiting our very good friends the Elrods, they offered to drive our stuff down to Powell for us. This is another very helpful answer to prayer.
Crown College is working out the details for our housing, and we would pray for both that and my teaching schedule for the fall semester. I am working on two courses at present, trying to have what they term a “blended curriculum.” This means that there is some internet use as well as classroom lectures and discussion. The goal will be to teach well, and then be able to convert the classes to online classes in addition with a minimum of additional work.
