Pastor's Corner (Feb. 2012)

February featured our annual Sweetheart Banquet and an all day Basketball& Volleyball Tournament for teens. Veteran Missionary to Mexico, Mike Denison, reported to us on the 12th. Also, Morton Builders erected our Storage Building.

March ends our 2 month boys basketball games on Monday nights. However, our weekly Home School ministry begins. We have seven folks in the New to the Church classes. The 13th will be our bi-annual Shepherds’ Retreat (http://mzbcsr.wordpress.com/) for area men who are in the ministry. Saturday, the 24th we’ll have an appreciation banquet for our Bible Assembly workers. Steve Schwanke will speak on Wed., March 28th. Finally, on Sat., March 31st from 9-noon, we will hold a refresher workshop for all of our teachers. It’s a busy month in a bustling church.

Remember the Reformers’ Unanimous (RU) that meets every Friday night from 7 to 9 in our Gym for the purpose of helping anyone who is addicted to anything.

Mt. Zion is a best described as a place of vision and fresh starts where YOU can jumpstart your relationship with the Lord, grow in your knowledge of the Bible, find a place to serve, and meet many new friends. Your whole family will find a variety of opportunities and ministries.

We make no apologies for being known as an evangelistic, discipling, loving Bible preaching church that believes in taking a stand. Isn’t it time for you to return to … “Church the way it used to be”?

Come and worship with us this coming week!
