Yesterday, my best friend and I were doing our 2nd 100 mile bike ride. We had about 30 miles to go and then we were involved in an accident. A Ford Truck with a trailer on the back with a Farm Tracker on it were on a scenic narrow two lane road on the lake front and were in our lane when we finished the hill and took the curve. Off the road we were forced and it gets real bloody.

God saved us from getting run over by on coming traffic and we laid on the street bleeding. My best friend required plastic surgery, sewing up and lots of wound attention. My shoulder was out of joint and lots of wounds. I realized that I needed to throw my body down on the left side so my bike would slide off the road to the right and avoid running over my best friend who was sliding on the pavement in front of his bike,. We both blacked out and do not remember a lot of it.

This experience has caused both my best friend and me to bond closer, we learned a lot about each other, his wife and I are now friends too, and one of their close friends and I are friends. God brought a lot of good from this experience and we have refused to sue anyone over it though we were approached. We both believe in being Christ like and realize that everything happens for a reason.

God has blessed us with a new much more bonding friendship between my best friend and me....and God has showed me many things from this experience! Praise God. I am also learning how to operate with mostly one arm as my left arm is in a sling.
