The flurry of events for July has ended. Daniel Urey continues his 6 week internship in Mexico. Our team of 11 folks from MZ returned from an 11 day trip to Wyoming to help a mission church conduct their VBS. They saw 4 receive Christ and one young man gain the assurance of his salvation. Our own VBS was July 18-22, with an average of 180/day in heat indexes of 110. We also heard guest speakers in July: Dave Warner, veteran church planter from South Dakota, Baptist College of Ministry Quartet and preacher, and Dr. Don Jasmin.
August carries a much lighter church calendar before children go back to school. Friday, August 5 is a Sports Night for the Youth. Sunday, August 7, David Barker will speak to our congregation emphasizing his Bible memory program. Saturday, August 13 we will see you at our Red Lion Street Fair booths for the church and RU. Tuesday, August 16 our Ambassadors (age 55+) have an activity planned.
