The reformers, such as Luther and Calvin, did not come to the positions for which they are known overnight, or in a straight forward or uniform manner. The Reformation was, as one person has put it, quite a messy affair. Looking back at the actions and words of the Reformers - we wish they would have said and done things in a different fashion. Seeing the humanity of the Reformers helps us as poor sinners understand our need for the gospel of grace.
Likewise MNVBC did not come to the positions for which they are now known overnight, or in a straight forward or uniform manner. Some sermons contained on the website may have statements which we wish were said differently, or never said at all. Nevertheless they may have value in that they provide information for others who are at a different point in their journey of reformation.
However if you find statements in sermons on this site for which you need an explanation - we ask that you contact the elders (using the contact form) and ask for further clarification.
