I have great news to report! I have a praise report and a prayer request.
Praise report: The surgeon that we have been trying to get for Jessica's surgery has agreed to take her case. She will have her surgery at Stanford (Lucille Packard Children's hospital) on November 5th...which brings me to the prayer request: Please keep us in mind when you are praying. We want the surgery to go well with minimal complications and we would like a speedy recovery. It's never easy to see a baby in pain.
Jessica is doing well. It has been getting harder and harder to feed her, but she is still gaining weight. She is just about 12 pounds. My personal goal for her is 14 pounds by the time she has surgery.
She's a happy girl. She loves a roomful of people. Evening is her favorite time of day because everyone is home. She likes to walk around the room (with someone holding her under her arms), she complains the most when we try to feed her too often, she is starting to tolerate tummy-time again (we had to stop for a while because she was having a hard time breathing), she has vocalized some laughs, she loves to watch people eatting, and she is starting to reach for toys. She's just a lot of fun.
We are thankful for having family and friends that pray for us. Please enjoy the pictures. Since I started back to work, there are less opportunities to take decent daytime pictures. I'll try to make it a point to put more pictures up this coming month.
