Prove Me Now .... A Spiritual Person Journal #11

People ask me all the time what I think of this charity or this ad on the suffering. Who shall I give too? This is asked all the time. My common answer is think about what does your giving do to show people the glory of God? It that charity giving God the glory or is a do goer organization.

Then I heard of a wonderful Christian charity that housed the homeless and fed them. I was so impressed I thought that one day, when I have my own Church, we would give to them. So a few months ago, I baked my famous "Water Cakes" and other things and went down to give the homeless a real treat. Then I discovered the board of the homeless shelter was having a meeting the same day and decided to eat it all. I was shocked to realized that people with jobs, money, homes, etc.....ate up what I brought for the homeless. I decided that this charity was not too charity like in Jesus' name. So that stopped me from interacting in such a way with them again.

You have to be careful. Make sure you are supporting your local church first and foremost. It would be a shame if someone came to your church and they did not have the means to help them out. Remember, we reflect God's glory! So do not line the pockets of "ministers" you do not have personal, weekly, community living with. Let those TV ministers ask God for the money they need. Besides....too many of them are living better than millionaires in our area. They sicken me.

First and foremost...pray about everything and ONLY follow directions by God alone.

To God be ALL the glory!
