There is a great and glorious God! He is very great and He is very glorious! And this great, glorious God has great power. His power is so great that He created everything out of nothing. That's why God is called, The Creator.
Long, long ago, before you were born, God made everything that is and ever will be. How did He do that? He did it by His Word.
God said, "Let there be Light!" And there was Light. He spoke The Word and everything He intended to make was made by the breath of His mouth. And everything He made glorifies Him. That means, it all speaks of Him. All of creation tells us Who He is, what He has done and what He will do.
Oh yes! God made the heavens and the earth by the Word of His Power, then He filled the heavens and the earth with good and glorious things. All things bright and beautiful!
God made the sun and the moon. He made the stars, also. God made the plants, the grasses and the trees that bear fruit. He made all the birds that fly through the sky, all the fishes that swim in the sea, and He made great whales.
Then, God made all the animals that live on the dry land. And on the same day, that is, the sixth day of creation, God made one creature that was very different from all the other creatures.
God made man.
HYMN 1 - All Things Bright and Beautiful
Colossians 1:16 and 17 "For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist."
(Hymn Begins with The Refrain)
All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful: The LORD God made them all.
1. Each little flower that opens, each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colors, He made their tiny wings. Refrain
2. The purple headed mountains, the river running by, the sunset and the morning that brightens up the sky. Refrain
3. The cold wind in the winter, the pleasant summer sun, the ripe fruits in the garden, He made them every one. Refrain
4. He gave us eyes to see them, and lips that we might tell how great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well. Refrain
