Is Christianity Under Attack In The US?
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 03, 2009

  • 1. A California school district has approved a mandatory homosexual curriculum for children as young as 5 - and parents will not be allowed to remove their children from the lessons.
  • 2. The county employee notified the couple that the small Bible study, with an average of 15 people attending, was in violation of County regulations, according to Broyles.
  • 3. AUSTIN - In a rare rejection of an appointment by the Texas governor, the Senate Thursday ousted Don McLeroy as chairman of the State Board of Education, with his supporters claiming the Bryan dentist was the victim of his strong religious beliefs.

Above are three stories that I found in less than 5 minutes. All three have one common theme, our government has an aversion to a biblical world view, and Christianity is under attack. It is not by Iran, not Russia, North Korea or China, it is by our own government. It is not simply that our government is standing idly by allowing groups such as the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, etc... exist, the government is proactively picking out issues that are antagonistic to Christians. It is amazing how many of our forefathers went all over the world fighting communism and atheism, giving their lives for a belief that aggressive foreign governments opposing us wanted to take away our way of life built around Judeo-Christian values. Now our elected leaders are promoting what we once fought against.

I have no desire for a state ran religion, nor do I desire to compel anyone to be a Christian through the government interaction. However, I would expect that the state do as Jefferson said to the Danbury Baptist

" I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state."

Thomas Jefferson

Making a 5 year old child sit through a homosexual curriculum without their parents consent is a prohibition to the free exercise of the Christian religion. Not allowing 15 people to meet in a house to fellowship and study the bible without a state awarded permit is a prohibition of our free religious exercise. Government officials being singled out for believing in creation is not allowing the free exercise of religion. It would be one thing, if the majority of people did not believe in God, or if a homosexual curriculum was desired by the majority of people in this country, but it's not. Our government is choosing a full frontal attack on it's citizens with a godless agenda.

We will find out who are the faithful and true, because it will soon be unpopular to attend a bible believing church. There will be serious prices to pay for those who oppose the state when it comes to holding a biblical world view. What will you do when the government makes your 5 year old child attend anti-Christian indoctrination, or when you are prohibited from bible study? Will you and I suffer, or will we say "it wasn't that important anyway." The time is coming and is now here!!!!!
