A Biblical Plan For The Financial Crisis

A Biblical Plan For The Financial Crisis

Downward markets, burst in the housing bubble, credit crunches, over consumption of fossil fuels, what could the answer possibly be? The answer to these questions and more is God's plan for the family, which would ripple into our financial, political, and educational dilemmas.

Deut 11:26 Speaks of the people picking for themselves blessing or curse. God has just reiterated the law in the proceeding chapters, and telling them that obeying Him will be the key to their success or failure. In God's plans are blessings, the success of the nation is living out the plan God designed for them. However, if they refuse to live out the plan and teach it to their children and children's children they will fail as every other nation had before them. Blessings are not just little magical presents; they are the rewards of a life intertwined with the will of God.

I believe the number one answer for the financial stability of the US and the world alike, is for the family to stay together and turn to the bible as their moral compass. If the divorce rate would decrease, fathers and mothers stayed together there would be less households. Less households would decrease the amount of energy being used, helping the energy shortage, conserve for the future, and allow those dollars to be saved or spent in other areas than redistributing wealth to our enemies. Less households would decrease the need for more people sprawled into natural habitats. Neighborhoods would improve because the combination of mothers and fathers together could take better care of their property. Recent surveys show that 80% of those in prison were raised by single parents. Money would be saved by shutting down prisons and housing criminals; then consider those who would have been a prisoner as an intelligent hard working consumer. Switching a prisoner for a hardworking individual would create astronomical savings for our society. One of the number one ways to deter teens from getting into drugs is for them to sit down and eat dinner with their families. Studies show that children raised in the proper family unit, and raised in religious homes do better in life.

If more men would take care of their wives, then more mothers could take of their children and give them the love and attention they need. The less women working would create a higher need for labor increasing wages for their husbands. Less dual income families, would force producers of certain goods to lower prices of the products and make them more affordable. I believe cars would be less expensive if there were not so many dual income families who could spend 40 grand on a vehicle; if they could not then car manufacturers would have to produce cars that were affordable for single income families.

If more Christian families were willing to home school their children, they could alleviate the burden on government ran schools that are overwhelmed and failing miserably. If more women were at home and able to prepare nutritious meals for their family instead of children being force fed fast food 3 to 5 times a week, obesity would fall and our healthcare system would not be so overly taxed.

These are but a few examples of how the financial crisis could be solved with a return to an accurate biblical worldview of the family. Dozens of other benefits not named would also take place. We have been given the choice of a blessing and curse, and the blessing lies in God's plan for the family and always has. What is sad is that we do not recognize the failures of our country are not simply due to policy and procedures created by the federal government, but the lack of morals, and the disintegration of the family unit.
