NATIONAL DEMENTIA

“Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not”: Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.” (Jer. 5:21-23).
THE POSITION AMERICA IS IN
America has become (with few exceptions) a nation of fools; people who are suffering from chronic dementia (Definition of dementia: “A condition of deteriorated mentality; madness; insanity”). Americans have taken leave of their senses as is seen in their inability to discern rightly what they hear and what they see. They are, generally speaking, a people “without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not.” This is best illustrated by the fact that perhaps as many as half of them indicate that they are ready to elect a man as president whose history and whose own words validate that the major influences in his life are Marxist and Muslim, and these ideologies will guide his agenda for America. The most cursory check of his background will prove beyond serious question that he is anything but a patriot. The other candidate is neither Marxist nor Muslim, but he is a globalist and (like his opponent) has shown, in the most practical ways during his political career a practical contempt for the Constitution of the United States and a careless indifference to the will of the American people. A careful scrutiny of his background will reveal further flaws in this man’s character and bring his patriotism into question and his “hero” status into serious question. The main difference in the two men is that one is more radically ready to gut Americans of their liberty and transform this nation into a socialist/slave state. The other one will do the same thing. He will do it less-consciously and take a little more time doing it, but it will be done under his administration none the less; America will lose her national sovereignty and personal freedoms will steadily, quickly be taken away.
Patrick Henry said, “We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth. For my part, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst; and to provide for it.” But vast majority of Americans today, at least far too many of them, apparently do prefer to shut their eyes against painful truth. They do not want to know the worst where the state of the nation is concerned, much less do anything in response to it. They, for the most part, “are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough” (Isa. 56:10, 11). They are people by and large, “Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame” (Phil. 3:19) America is under the judgment of God, and is, by and large, from the highest leadership to the lowest citizen is suffering from the insanity of sin in its advanced stages.
“And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter” (Isa. 59:14).
THE PROBLEM WITH AMERICA
America has the same problem ancient Israel had, and that other nations have had; that brought about their humiliation, slavery and in some cases, total demise. God called attention to this problem through the prophet Jeremiah when He said, “Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart”(Jer. 5:222, 23a).
The Bible says, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” (Ecc. 12:13). But America has shown no fear of God; not in the sense of desiring to reverence Him or in the sense of dreading any retribution from Him. America has flaunted her fearlessness of God by embracing and promoting everything that is hateful to God and by trying to legislate everything out of existence that would remind the American people of His existence. The problem with America is that it has too long lifted its impudent fists and opened its impudent mouth against THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY! And it appears that God’s longsuffering and patience with America has just about run its course and is almost run out:
“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them” (Prov. 1:224-32). |
