Katherine is 3 months old today. She just keeps growing and growing. I estimate that she is around 13 pounds. She seems to have new "tricks" everyday. She now interacts with the mirror. She used to be disinterested with her image...now she uses the mirror to find herself or look at mommy when I am hiding from her. She can lift her head when she is on her belly. She went from always struggling with her nose in the blanket to lifting her head completely up. She is getting better at grabbing things. She enjoys having books read to her. She is smiling and laughing at a wider range of things, but she will not find things funny after a while...meaning we need to be more creative. She is still active and makes her noises when we talk to her or sing to her...or if we aren't paying attention to her.

She still sleeps well through the night, but is needy during the day. I am dreading going back to work next Monday. I am unsure of how Gene will manage on his own. He will do just fine if he trusts his instincts.
