PHOTOS AND VIDEOS UPDATED 10/27/08

I apologize for being so far behind on the updates. I have been very busy lately. During our visit to Sacramento, we decided to move back. There were a number of factors that weighed into our decision, but the biggest factor weighs about 12 pounds...Katherine. When it came down to it, we just asked ourselves what would be best for her...then it became a very easy decision. All of the reasons we had for staying in the Bay Area all of the sudden seemed irrelevant. Our hopes are to someday come back because we have really enjoyed our time out here (our church, friends, neighborhood, proximity to hiking and beaches, proximity to decent Korean food and grocery stores, and job opportunities...oh yeah, and the Great America season passes, which we have yet to use this year...oh well). We began to pray about it and all of the doors began to open very widely. We are in escrow for a house that is in between Gene's parent's house and my parent's house...and close to our good friends, the Koepkes. I had three job offers before I even began to start looking. Our landlords have been very understanding and probably won't give us too much trouble about breaking the lease. I'm sure we will find a good church home in time...we will look around once we make the move. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions. I am physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausted.

We will probably move at the end of November. I need to go back to work because they are VERY short right now...one pharmacist moved to NY to get married, the night pharmacist is about to go on maternity leave, me and another pharmacist are currently on maternity leave, and everyone else needs to take their vacations...this does not even include all of the people that are out on leave from the outpatient pharmacy. ALSO they just announced a hiring freeze, so they cannot hire anyone to replace the 3 of us that will be gone (including the night pharmacist). I am going back to work sooner than planned, so Gene's parents will still be in Korea...meaning, Gene will need to juggle school and watching the baby. Gene's sister will also be in Korea during that time, so this will be very interesting. We will see Gene stretched to his limits. I feel like it's the least that I can do since they have allowed me to be off of work since the end of April.

Enough about us, what about the BABY??? She is just doing fantabulous. She seems to mature SO much from week to week. She is very alert and seems to be analyzing everything. She continues to make more and more sounds. She tries to talk to me...usually, she is telling me to turn on her mobile. She enjoys sitting in the upright forward position, so that she can get a good look at things. Since she is upright more often now, she has started drooling...I guess she has lost the help of gravity to keep the saliva in. She is still very amused by lights and ceiling fans (even in the off position)...just a little dance in front of a light will get her laughing. Everything is starting to go in her mouth. Mostly her fists for now, but when I put anything in her hand, she must get a taste of it. She is playing more on her own and doesn't need constant entertainment. Just within the last couple of days, she has started to fall asleep on her own, with only a little tapping while she lies down for the night. I hope this also will translate into her daytime napping...she is still a little more needy during the day, but I am seeing progress. Hopefully, the kinks are worked out before Gene has to take care of her on his own. As you can see, I can go on and on. I will stop for now. I have to make my "to do" list for tomorrow...

Please pray for our family. We are having to make a lot of decisions within a short period of time. I want to be sure they are the right ones.
