Koop Memorial Organ Dedicatory Recital

Friday
September 12, 7:30 pm

Paul Jacobs, organ

Paul Jacobs is Chair of organ at Julliard. He made history at the age of 23 in 2000 when he played Bach's complete organ music in an 18-hour non-stop marathon in Pittsburgh.

Hailed for his solid musicianship, prodigious technique, and vivid interpretive imagination in performances throughout the world, Mr. Jacobs is widely acknowledged for reinvigorating the American organ scene with a fresh performance style. He will play Bach, Liszt, Barber and others.

We are very pleased that Dr. C. Everett Koop (former U.S. Surgeon General and Tenth Elder), whose gift in memory of his wife and son makes this new Walker digital organ possible, will be in attendance.

I for one thought it was amazing and very God-glorifying. Thank you for the effort that went into making this available for everyone!
