Still nothing to report. I am able to get around okay during the day...with some minor waddling. The late evening to morning hours are more difficult. This is when my contractions are stronger and small movements like moving from lying on one side to the other in bed can be extremely painful. The baby is engaged and the contractions are there, but they just aren't progressing. I think my body is getting confused. Yesterday I started having contractions in my other uterus. I thought that was strange. Anyway, the way things are looking, we may just make it to full term. No complaints here. We are so happy to make it past all of the milestones.

I have been enjoying the past week. I stopped by work and had visitors from Sacramento and Hawaii. My cousin is due here from Colorado on Friday. We stayed a night in a hotel on Saturday after our house was sprayed for fleas (where I enjoyed blasting the air conditioning and Gene enjoyed 6 showers...don't ask). Today I went to Great America, an amusement park. We had pre-purchased season passes before I was pregnant. We walked around the park, went to a magic show, and got our pictures taken for our season passes. I can imagine that we will take the baby here from time to time just to walk around. There are so many sights, sounds, and smells...and everyone is in a good mood.

Update on Jacob: An excerpt from his webpage being maintained by his father "Jacob has been diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma which is a type of cancer. He has a tumor in his nasopharynx (where the nasal cavity meets the throat). This is a highly treatable cancer and the prognosis is very good. He's a brave little boy and I am very proud of how well he is handling all of this." He has had one round of chemotherapy...and has already noticed improvements!! He will be tested today and tomorrow to determine if there are other areas of tumor activity and to determine his next course of chemotherapy. He will need a minimum of 4 months of chemotherapy. Please continue to pray for Jacob and his family. As you can imagine, this whole process has been exhausting for the family.
