As a sinner dumb and deaf and blind,
I cannot alone the Saviour find;
But the glorious truth of God I see,
In all my plight He comes to me!

I would believe with all my heart,
And men tell me that is my part;
But saving faith must come from higher,
Revealed in me by God's own power.

Repentance is a sinner's need,
If he would for salvation plead;
But a solemn truth the soul must face:
It's not of self, but all of grace.

To know the Saviour of God's sheep
Is to be safe, for He will keep
All sinful souls He brings along,
To know the triumph free grace song.

I dare not trust an "offer" plan,
For many failed although they ran.
They made profession but with defect --
Their faith was not of God's elect!
