COURSE DESCRIPTIOIN
This course is designed to lead the student in an in-depth study of the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Attention is given first to the personality and deity of the Spirit, followed by His ministries in creation, revelation, and redemption. The Holy Spirit’s ministry on behalf of Old Testament and New Testament believers is compared and contrasted. Finally, careful study is given to the spiritual life of the believer, spiritual gifts, and the charismatic controversy.

•Defend the deity of the Holy Spirit from Scripture;
•Understand the Spirit’s work in creation, revelation, inspiration, and illumination;
•Compare and contrast the Spirit’s work in the OT and NT eras;
•Grasp the significance of Pentecost in relation to the NT-era work of the Spirit;
•Explain the Spirit’s initial and ongoing work in saving and sanctifying believers;
•Understand the biblical teaching on the baptism and filling ministries of the Spirit;
