Trucker's Ministry - Around the Nation Praying - Journal #5

December 6, 2007 1:36 P.M. Wyoming Time!!!

Good Afternoon from Rawlin, Wyoming!!! The entire landscape is beautiful with yellows, browns and lots of snow. And the clouds are covering the top of Elk Mountain....what a sight!!! God's creation is absolutely wonderfull and amazing.

Last night I drove all night and traveled through Idaho, Utah and into Wyoming. God saw me through some difficult dangerous stretches of highway (details with held) last night. The great thing about it, I called out to God in prayer during the whole ordeal. It remembered me of the song, "Jesus Take the Wheel". Hint, Hint, Hint (see the lyrics).

I feel like Corrie ten Boom right now. She had no place to call home during her travels around the world. At times she would get upset due to little things of uncomfort. I find it frustrating not to know where things are here in my suitcase/duffel bag .... You would think with so little possessions I would be able to find things when needed. Then like Corrie....I have to ask God's forgiveness for impatience.
One thing that I am finding through my walk lately....the Devil loves to try and scare me concerning my lack of money....and I have had to deal with this situation by singing praises to God. God IS faithful and will always see me through everything just like He did Corrie and George Muller. But it wonderful that the Devil can only find this situation to come at me.

Truly, I know what Jesus felt like sometimes.....no where to lay my head. For even this truck I am in is not my own and I will be off it by the 15th of December. But I know with all my heart that God is preparing me for His work. As I am writing this ....Elk Mountain is getting closer and closer!!!
Today, we will be going through Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Arkansas....shift driving until we get this truck full of frozen food to receiver (Americold in West Memphis, Arkansas) by 8-10 A.M.
I'm very tired right now and will be retiring so I can get up for my devotions, prayer time and preparation for the all night driving (starting at Midnight). And for some strange reason I find myself craving blackberry preserves and home made apple pie. This Christmas I will be on the road working which will be strange.

Whenever the Devil comes at you with anything that takes even the slightest peace away from you for even a moment........ambush Satan with a Song of Praise to God!!!

To All for the glory of God
