Today it rained steadily the entire day. In the morning we visited Auschwitz, one of the worst examples of man's depravity and inhumanity. The rain fit the setting as we toured from one building to the next. It was a sobering experience for all of us.
Afterwards we headed for Krakow, where we checked into a hotel near the main central city square. We had a wonderful last dinner together at a restaurant near the square.
Tomorrow we will spend some time in the morning at the square before we depart for the airport in the early afternoon.
September 7 - AuschwitzWe spent a few hours at Auschwitz and Birkenau.
