Isn,t it a pitty MLJ carnt be made avalible free for everyone to be blessed by. I gather Margret his sermons are copy write protected. That is why they are not their any more.
Margaret wrote: I was so disappointed when I could no longer listen to Martyn Lloyd-Jones. You used to have about fifteen sermons of his posted and now none are available. I used to listen to his sermons several times over and over again.

"And everyone who has this hope focused on him purifies himself, just as Jesus16 is pure" what does it mean to be cleansing oneself?"
The KJV (1611) says "And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." 1 John 3:3
The hope that is spoken of here is referring to the preceding verse, v.2. "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall se him as he is." 1 John 3:2 KJV (1611)
I believe this verse is saying that when Jesus appears, we shall be given resurrected bodies like His. "when he shall appear, we shall be like him;"
Matthew Henry says "The sons of God must walk by faith, and live by hope.
"The wicked shall see Him in His frowns; but these shall see him in the smiles and beauty of his face. Their likeness shall enable them to see him as the blessed do in heaven." -Matthew Henry
Verse 3 urges us to seek holiness. This is by the study of utmost purity. the hope which is spoken of in verse 3 gives us the desire to keep ourselves in purity (holiness). Our hope of heaven constrains us to do so. This is what v3 (hope) and (purity) are referring to. We must be led by the Spirit. God bless you.
The message given by Phil johnson on the subject "Wisdom Guards the heart"Prov 4:23 Was very Useful but he never explained what does it means 1 Jh 3:2 3:3 "And everyone who has this hope focused on him purifies himself, just as Jesus16 is pure" what does it mean to be cleansing oneself? When Ap.Paul speaks of clear and pure heart in 2 Cor 1:12 For our reason for confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that with pure motives and sincerity which are from God not by human wisdom but by the grace of God – we conducted ourselves in the world, and all the more toward you.
Some thing is mising in his sermon if any one can clear my understanding.
To those who capture their sermons with a voice recorder for SermonAudio posting: The use of a lapel microphone with a voice recorder GREATLY enhances the quality of the recording. Give it a try!
Showing the "lock" beside the name allows readers to be guaranteed of the fact that the one whose name appears beside the comment is in fact the one wrote the comment. In the past, we've had problems with people impersonating other people given the "easy-posting" nature of comments. The "lock" feature allows a convenient way to provide a solution of sorts to this problem -- while still allowing people to post comments freely and without the hassle of registration.
If you take longer than 30 minutes to type in a comment, then this will cause the current "image validation" to expire. Otherwise, the only other issue is if cookies are not properly set in the browser or if there is a "blocking" program running that interferes with the cookies.
Image validation is becoming a necessity in this day and age of spambots flooding guestbooks and forums with "advertisements" posts, etc.
Why is it I sometimes can post comments and sometimes I can't, but get a message saying incorrect validation even though I've typed in the right number and have not changed any of my settings such as cookies enabled, etc.?
