We're extremely pleased to announce a fresh new look for SermonAudio.com in celebration of our tenth year in operation! The new and improved design is fresh and bold in its appearance yet still largely familiar in its user experience.
We made the central content area of the page standout more to make it easier to focus on the reason why you're on SermonAudio to begin with -- the great content! In general, we've created more "breathing room" on the page's layout so that it takes advantage of today's larger screens and faster connections.
One of the most prominent changes has been the addition of the MyChurch link on the toolbar which allows you to specify any broadcaster's Member ID as your "home church" for quick and easy access to your church's sermons!
Can't remember the Member ID for your home church? No problem, simply click on the Set As MyChurch found on any broadcaster's homepage. We're all about helping and promoting the local church. Count the ways!
We, like many of you, despise the learning curve that comes with anything that changes. Fortunately, the basic functionality of the site has remained unchanged and seasoned users can still find what they're looking for in all the usual places!
Can you tell that we've been working hard to deliver a great user experience? Well, we have. And there's many more improvements yet to come! Especially in the area of mobile phones.. Stay tuned!
We hope you will enjoy our new site!
This video tutorial is part of a growing number of screencasts. Let us know if it's been a help to you!
great new look,,,,however, for some reason I can't seem to locate the "forum" where one can share views, etc. Anyone out there to shed some light on this?
As the founder of www.sermonindex.net and a web desinger myself. I love this new change, it is clean, fresh, engaging. quicker to load! and more easy on the eyes. Praise God for a site design that is unto the Lord and glorifies God more! Greg Gordon
Allan NZ, you had better watch out there are still fellows here, that want the site in Latin and everything in Roman numerals! The only thing I usually look at are, The sermons page for Indian Hills Community Church and this news forum. It seems that SermonAudio had changed there way of listing comments for individuals, and I like to keep track of my own to see if there are any responses that I should answer.
I don't know if it's new, but the Bible verse look up could definitely be improved, It should be linked to something like the netbible site which gives the verses from a variety of Bible versions (Including the AV) and some translation notes, for those who are interested, e.g., John 1:1.
No, IHCC doesn't use the NET Bible, one might say the NASB is our "official" Bible version.
It's a makeover, not a limb replacement. Same stuff, different paint.
As for bigger screens... the majority of people have them now. You can't even buy a new 15 inch monitor here. Technology changes and if it wasn't for SA keeping up with it there would be no video broadcasts as we'd all be on dialup speed internet still. In this case change is good.
SA should not be expected to stay the same for another decade just because the minority don't want to upgrade during that time.
