Rick Warren Uncertain if Homosexual Behavior is Sinful, Says ‘Gays’ Go to Heaven
Controversy is stirring over recent comments made by Rick Warren, author of the best-selling book The Purpose-Driven Life and megachurch leader of Saddleback Church in California, who stated that homosexual behavior “might be” sinful, and that he believes homosexuals go to Heaven.

During an interview this week with the Huffington Post, Warren was asked by Marc Lamont Hill if having romantic feelings for a member of the same sex is a sin. Leading up to the question, Warren was explaining that he does not hate homosexuals, and that people should disagree politely on the subject of homosexuality.

“I have many, many gay friends, and have worked around the world with them in gay organizations to try to stop AIDS,” he said. “We’re doing ‘World AIDS Day’ this weekend at Saddleback Church. As for e mail addresses, I don't see any on here, I dont have a computer, I'm on my iPod touch. I have the sermon audio application . I have email too but I don't have a browser because I will get in trouble . You know what I mean ? Theres porn on the web. I can have the web.

Good morning, Frank...I feel the same when I pray. I feel like the lowest of the low, the worst of the worst. I'm still amazed each and every day at how God had His hand on me my entire life, sat back, watching all of the horrible things that I did against Him, and then one day, reached down into the pit pulled me out, brushed me off, and said, "follow me". I'm glad he did, of course, but I can't help but to wonder why when there are so many people who seem to live wholesome lives even apart from God. I don't understand why he would pass them by and snap me up. Or maybe I should say, people like us.

Good morning, "guest". The reason I was asking for a first name was so I could pinpoint you. Otherwise, I feel like I have to pray, "Dear God, I want to pray for the guy who logged onto Sermon Audio using the handle, "guest", instead of say, "Jeff from NY". Oh well, as Frank said, God will know who I mean, I guess. Just please don't do a hit and run so those of us praying for you can check your progress.
The only answer you have right now is celebacy and to not allow lust to gain a foothold. If you force yourself to pray as soon as it begins, it will stop immediately. The mind would much rather lust so going into prayer right away isn't easy.
Like Frank said, we've all had our demons and some of us have walked down much darker paths, but here we are to tell our stories.
I'll see about posting up an email as well since I was told it can be done.

Not a problem and I hope we understand each other. There is no one who posts on SA that I am aware of that would not be compassionate to someone who is in the body of Christ that is struggling with sin and that includes with the sin of homosexuality. All of us in the body of Christ struggle against sin; my struggles might not be the same as someone else's, but when I am on my knees at night I can assure you that in my heart I am the chief sinner and I don't say that in a pious insincere manner. Anyway, thanks for the clarification. I don't remember being personally offended, but your apology is accepted. Your comments simply led me to review what I said and that is always a good thing; which led me to defend my comments and that sometimes can be a bad thing. The below.

Proverbs.21:2 Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts.

In any event, I will pray for you this evening as well. I will just use the name "guest" and I'm sure the Lord will know to whom I am referring.

Every post that I have seen was compassionate. Christopher asked you for your first name and of course that could not possibly have been revealing. I agree with you. Something made me think that the troll was the case otherwise I wouldn't have posted anything beyond my original post. You are a wise fellow! If he is not a troll, then our suspicions won't bother him and his desire will be to naturally clear the air, so to speak.

Christopher, you have a compassionate heart that will serve the body of Christ well. Your email was very loving and yet this fellow did not respond. I asked him if he was a Christian and he failed to respond. And on an earlier email, he said that God was going to send him to hell because of his urges.

There may be more to this fellow's posts than meets the eye? But, only the Lord knows at this point. One thing seems certain, for whatever reason, he isn't responding to anyone.

If I felt like he did, then I would reach out to anyone, especially those in the body of Christ who are reaching out to him.
