The left’s intolerance of Christianity extends much further than the debate over homosexuality, though. As actress Candace Cameron Bure recently discovered, any reference to one’s Christian values can cause a conniption among the perpetually offended progressive crowd.
She has been making the media rounds this week to promote her recent book, “Balancing It All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose.” In it, she writes about her experiences as a working mother and wife; however, leftists have focused their attention on her adherence to the biblical principle of submitting to her husband.
Though she offered a sound, logical response to those who question her position, radical feminists have implicitly labeled her Public Enemy No. 1....
Elise...glad all is well.Yes we all need to be praying and praising Him more..for Jesus Christ our grat God and Saviour deserves His glory.Alas..I fall far short also. Keep posting dear sister when you can. Blessings to you and yours.
Anne...I understand how you feel regarding the comments I have been having a lot of trouble with my digestion lately too...just can't swallow the heresy that some folks post on here, Take care dear one!
And hello to you Dorcas, thank you so much for your nice post, keeping well, always popping in to SA very day to see whats going on, thankful that our Lord is the same yesterday today and forever and not as we are with so much murmuring, I feel I just don't praise Him as I should.
CAB, at 108 comments, I am sure if there was something to say, it was said. Take heed to the wisdom that has been given you.
Dorcas, I'll be off site today as SA-comments-induced indigestion while pregnant isn't something I want this morning. But may you rejoice in the day the Lord has given us, as it is fully His and we get to enjoy it! Take care!

Hello Elise....so nice to see you post! I trust you are well and rejoicing in our glorious Lord and Saviour?

Faith in what? I reckon you should examine yourself to see if you are in the Christian faith, which is faith in Christ crucified for our sins. Cornerism won't have this at any price, he leaves out the doctrine of the vicarious atonement of Christ, therefore Corner is an unbeliever.
Check out imputation, Cheryl. Especially the imputation of Christ's righteousness to all who believe. All that effort you are putting in, and all to no avail. Heaven is for those who are perfect, and because "all have sinned", God gives us his own righteousness through faith apart from works.

If you are walking close with Jesus, you know him, everybody else will know it too, and you are in a wonderful place. But you need to know doctrine, because things CAN change. Jesus preached to the churches and told them if they did not return to their "first love" that they would lose their lampstand, or be vomited out.
We are told to examine ourselves to see if we be in the faith. There are so many warnings and teachings in the Bible, and I don't understand people on here insisting that to take heed, study what God says, try to obey and follow as the wise man who built his house on the Word, that to do so means you're a bad person, not saved, and teaching heresies.
It's all ludicrous. And SDA people don't even believe Hell exists, but if they have a fear of God and of sin then they are more Christian than the Calvinists who think they got picked out of a hat and can never be lost no matter what. (Remember the serial killer BTK or whatever, whose Lutheran pastor insisted he was a "good Christian?")
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. (Ergo: The lack of fear of God is the beginning of foolishness)
What happened?! I wanted to see if maybe some of the people we had been praying for would have reached out, and THIS is where the conversation went...? CAB, the conversation was about laying people at the feet of our Savior when you popped in with "it occurred to ME..."! It was about people who were in need of GOD, not any of us.
Growing up SDA, who believe as CAB does that you can loose your salvation, I can understand the descent into such hateful, boastful, condemning words to others - probably did it myself. The fear of dying in unrepentant sins, even if I had tried my hardest that day and had worked closely to repent of my known sins, was maddening. People who believe this lie have to DO something to convince themselves of their sincerity and desire to be saved. Don't take anything they have to say personally, even when attacked. Instead, because they are blind to the truth and have not received a spirit of light (Eph. 5), maybe we should expect this kind of behavior and continue to tread carefully when talking with them as they are unwittingly holding onto their death shrouds claiming "life!" CAB's life is miserable and full of fear and depression - leaning on the everlasting arms is something this type will try to obtain themselves, not realizing it's there just

Ha! I never knew you had a sense of humour, Steve. Nice one. As for CAB, she's a weird woman called Cheryl. But she won't admit to it, because in her belief system, if she disobeys God in one sin, she's lost her salvation. What she doesn't realise is that she's not yet saved. So I hope she sticks around, and I hope you will tell her the answer to the question, "What must I do to do be saved?"

No, because if you admitted that, you would have to cease teaching on these boards in the manner you have been, or admit to going contrary to God's will. Are you a woman?
However, whether you admit it or not, God knows who you are, and he knows that you are a liar. You misrepresent people, you tell lies about me and everyone else on these threads, you tell lies about non-existent viruses. You bear all the marks of the devil in the way you mishandle scripture.
However, I still feel very sorry for you, that you have been taken in by such a cultist as Corner. Five points of Cornerism is not doing you any good. Cornerism is evil doctrine, and despite having all the appearance of zealousness for Christ, it is actually demoting Christ; it is not glorifying Christ but the opposite. It is shaking the fist at God, saying, "I will not accept the finished work of your Son, I want to earn my way."
My advice to you is to do a serious study on two things: 1. Imputation - that is, the imputation of righteousness to a sinner through faith only, and the imputation of sin to Christ at Calvary. 2. The vicarious sufferings of The Saviour, when he died in the place of sinners like you and me.
Of all threads you had to pick this one to raise another stink in?
To be saved means standing in God's grace, not in His wrath. The first covenant is filled with examples of people who stood in God's grace for a time and season, came under God's wrath (judgment) and all but a remnant perished eternally. Yes, they lost their salvation.
All these examples have one thing in common; they were under the first covenant. The writer of Hebrews wrote that covenant was not without fault.
The new/better covenant is established on better promises; eternal salvation and eternal life. If you don't want anything to do with the new covenant, that is your business. We'll see how it works out on the last day.
But you really should try to understand that anyone who has experienced the peace, joy and assurance of God's better covenant promises will never fall back to that which waxeth old and is ready to vanish away with all who are in it. Instead, we invite you to abandon your struggles to be good enough and let Christ, and Him crucified, be your righteousness. He made a deal with the Father to lose none of all the Father gave Him.
But then again, it's possible you never belonged to the Father. Time will tell.
Spoke too soon, I misread her comment. She didn't claim I said we need no Bible, but that if my beliefs are true, we need no Bible, which is silly, and a misrepresentation of what I have been saying. My apologies for reading her comment wrong.
Just to be clear, I didn't call CAB a liar without provocation. She claimed I and others avoided her comments on the parable of the sower, which is a lie, we did confront her position in the Calvinist revival thread for all to see. Since we spoke directly to each other concerning her take on the parable of the sower, there is no way she say otherwise without lying. So, I don't think I was out of line calling her a liar, especially since she purposely misrepresents everything I say or believe. If I am out of line, I apologize.
Proverbs 26:4 "Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou be also be like unto him."
CAB, I'm through with this conversation, you are wise in your own eyes, and no amount of Scripture will deter you from your Dan Cornerist beliefs. I'm sorry ever to engaged you in conversation. Only the Lord can reveal the truth to you (John 3:27, John 6:65), for your sake I hope he does.
