Student Body President at Northwest Christian University Denounces Christian Faith, Declares Himself Atheist

The president of the student body at Northwest Christian University publicly announced that he has been a longtime atheist despite his enrollment at the Oregon-based college and is now urging Christians to practice what they preach by becoming accepting of those who do not fit their same "pattern."

Eric Fromm, 21, published an article last week in his school's news website as his way of denouncing his former Christian beliefs. He says he was an atheist before enrolling as a student but decided to attend the 600-student university because of his interest in its communication program.

"I was baptized Lutheran, and raised Methodist, but as time went on I slowly came to the conclusion that God wasn't real," Fromm wrote in his article. "I knew that the school catered to Christian thinking, so before I enrolled, I visited the campus to make sure that the chapel services were comfortable enough that I ...

The lips of the righteous feed many:but fools die for want of wisdom.
Proverbs 10:21.
I'm sure this is the sentiment of most on this forum who are defiled by your toxic and foolish posts.

Just wanted to respond to all those who were so kind to post concerning my comment.
Yes, Christopher I was quite remiss in not mentioning the others that you had noted in your post...they had not come to my remembrance when I posted but they certainly have contributed much to this forum.
I am disgusted by a certain few who are spreading romananist lies and one who actually condemns and slanders others.
Which of course that is the way of people who are bound in dead religion and not crucified with the living Christ.
Have a blessed Lords Day to all.

Thank you Mrs. S for the kind words. I surely don't deserve to be include in the list of those outstanding people you have mentioned in your post but thanks for the words of encouragement.

And what is this, I am twice blessed!!! SteveR including me in his unholy trinity! Had it come from those greats listed in Mrs. S list it would be cause for concern and sadness but from SteveR it is a badge of honor.

Matthew 5:11, I Peter 4:16

In both cases I am humbled.

Thanks to "wrote" below as well. To those who don't know me IRL, I may come off as someone who likes attention, the spotlight, etc, because I tend to post a lot, but just the opposite is true. I'm actually very quiet but like to exchange ideas, learn, and read the differing opinions posted here. The truth is that I'm embarassed to see my name because I really don't know much of anything; not compared to these people anyway. Some others much more worthy of mention instead of me would be Mike, Michael H, Angela, MS, Dorcas who is taking a mental health break from the board...ha-ha, 1517, Russ, Marty, Neil, SF, and others. Man, I'm surprised I rememberd that many more.
Really nice to hear from you (did John refer to you as Mrs S?) and I hope you keep posting. Nice to see some others around who are younger than me as well, like Will, GS, and I think Andrew (?) who I like to see because everyone brings a different perspective to some discussions which I find interesting.
Things can get heated at times, but we're all human...so what. Some people are more passionate about particular subjects, headlines, or whatever, so it can get hot, but always cools back down. Born again Christians, having been set free spiritually, haven't been set free from sin, so we all make our mistak

John UK: Brothers I challanged John Y to show me the word 'toilet' in the book, he couldnt! Proof we are right to use only outhouses and sidestreets. If the Vatican has them, I wouldnt get one

Yes brother, it is such a blessing to me when our sisters speak up and confess that Jesus is Lord and they are not ashamed of Him and document that by obeying Him and coming into submission to their husbands. SteveR is so brainwashed that he thinks when a woman obeys her husband as unto the Lord, that she is simply obeying her husband?? In Christ, all are equal, both men and women and nothing I or you have ever said contradicts that. Christ was in every way God in the flesh, so when He submitted completely to His heavenly Father, was He to be considered less than His Father; of course not. Shame on SteveR for even suggesting that submission means that.
Shane, good for you; John UK and I pray for them both also.
Excellent points Frank. A picture emerges of the "spiritual order" which God has set in place. Anything God says and does is good. It's a pity that christendom has messed up.

I believe it is true to say that in the UK, it was Christians who determined to give the common people an education. The Bible was available in English, but few could read or write. Hence the motive to give lessons - a spiritual and good motive. Today, if you want to learn UNgodliness, go to uni.

Thank you for your encouraging comment, not only to me but to all the regular contributors here at SA. It reminds me, once again, that commenting on a Christian open discussion forum carries the responsibility of always glorifying God and not feeding one's pride because we may never know how what we write may affect silent readers.

God's blessings to you and yours, dear sister.

On a week when one of the unholy trinity(unprofitable servant) argued that a husband must submit to his wife, I found Franks post quite amusing.

However, the Scriptures dont in anyway support Franks wicked notion that Christian women have unholy motives pursuing a College Degree and certainly these do not support your idiotic idea that College is evil for everyone
