"The Atkins diet is almost totally fat and protein. You can eat cheese, you can eat a lot of bacon, but sooner or later it violates the principles that God set down." ...

I disagree with your statement John, there are obese people (me included) that fight high blood pressure, it can cause heart attacks and strokes and being over weight is hard on your back and other joints. I'm not vain and I struggle with weight issues. I don't believe taking care of the earthly vessel my Father gave me is a sin.
Medication keeps hypertension under control and keeps the blood pressure in the normal range. I take medication for hypertension and irregular heart rate. I am over weight and I lose weight sometimes.

Apparently, Paddy, never heard of diabetes. This shows again he is ignorant in other areas, besides Christianity.

Leave the poor guy alone. I watched the program and he was commenting on this diet segment. I agree that almost no carb diet is very difficult to maintain. Didn't God create fruits and vegetables and grains for our bodies also?
