Texas Proposal: JAIL Any Federal Officials Trying to Enforce New Gun Restrictions in the State
A Texas lawmaker says he plans to file the Firearms Protection Act, which would make any federal laws that may be passed by Congress or imposed by Presidential order which would ban or restrict ownership of semi-automatic firearms or limit the size of gun magazines illegal in the state, 1200 WOAI news reports.
Republican Rep. Steve Toth says his measure also calls for felony criminal charges to be filed against any federal official who tries to enforce the rule in the state.
Mr. B, "Every state should do this." I couldn't agree with you more. I am appalled at the way our elected officials-- both Democrat and Republican-- seem perfectly willing to go along with Obama on every aspect of unlawful, anti-Christian, Marxist, globalist agenda, whether it be raising taxes, postponing spending cuts, eroding the second Amendment, refusing to fight for states' rights, refusing to defend marriage and the life of the unborn, etc. It is utterly sickening. People are afraid of looking like extremists simply for standing up for what is right. We are in a terrible state as a country. People seem to have forgotten that tyrants throughout history generally seek to 'weaken' the people's liberties by degrees, before acting to remove them entirely. Every concession by a naive public and naive politicians simply emboldens them. May God have mercy on us and show every citizen in the U.S. at what point civil disobedience to the unrighteous, unlawful, and un-Constitutional demands of our federal government may be necessary, both to oppose tyranny and to preserve the blessings of liberty for future generations.
I am typically disillusioned with politicians that care nothing for the U.S. Constitution. Every once in awhile one surprises me. I intend to learn more about this representative and I intend to support this noble cause. May the word "impeachment" follow all politicians who attempt to subvert the law.
Every state should do this. But as usual, America is being led into slavery. All our civil rights are being taking away. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to bear arms, the list goes on. The founding fathers of this country would not stand for this.
