FBI: Hammers, Clubs, Fists and Hands Kill More Than Rifles

According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle.

This is an interesting fact, particularly amid the Democrats' feverish push to ban many different rifles, ostensibly to keep us safe of course.

Another interesting fact: According to the FBI, nearly twice as many people are killed by hands and fists each year than are killed by murderers who use rifles.

That's nice that you're worried for me. I also vote, own property, and worship freely. You gotta watch out for people like me. Yep, I'm a vigilante.

Government, for people with mindsets like yours, is a tool that allows you to satisfy your human desire to control other people's internal affairs. How very Orwellian of you.

By the way, the constitution is the highest human law in this country. You should submit to it and stop advocating for the infringement of the right of the people to keep and bear (that means carry) arms.

No, I'm against vigilantes. I think you'll find that guns in this country are used more to kill other family members either intentionally or unintentionally than in any other country It is because the government has appointed people to enforce the laws remember,

1 Peter 2
13 Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,
14 or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right.
15 For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.
16 Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.
17 Honor all men; love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.---NASB

By the way, I have always been against the private citizens being allowed to carry concealed weapons as well! Jim,

Again, why is your opinion of what i "need" important? Why should i be required to demonstrate exigency? I'm fine with all free men and women carrying guns everywhere. What's your point? Does what you're "fine with" somehow trump what I'm "fine with"? Why?

If you don't think citizens should use guns to protect themselves, then why is it OK to pay the police to do it?. If it is contrary to scripture to use force in defense of self, then it is likewise scripturally prohibited to call the police. In case you haven't noticed, they would use a gun to protect you, but they wear a state issued costume while they do it. Somehow that makes it ok?

Be honest: you're just personally against guns. Please don't massage statistics or hijack Scripture to attempt to make your personal preferences binding upon me, Mike, or anyone else.

It is interesting since 2007 the United States has more guns per capita than any nation in the world, 9 weapons for every 10 citizens. Also even with guns locked up in a home there is a 22 times more chance of a family member getting killed (the last statistic was from a more distant memory so, if that's wrong correct me).
So, I have nothing against hunting weapons, I'm not really against self-defense, but it is obvious that lot of the scum of the earth have settled in this country, and what it takes to be protected from it is a good police force not a bunch of gun-toting civilians.
Und you vil like it, ya?

Seems to me if your 9 for every 10 statistic is true, there could be some 300 million guns in this country. If so, the number of guns used to commit crimes is miniscule compared with the number of guns that are not so used. But hey, maybe more gun laws for criminal types to break would help more?

Just to be safe though, I'll lock up my 0.9 guns.

PS what size police force are you talking that would have prevented any of these school murders?

It is your "basic human right," to

Luke 6
29 "Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either.
30 "Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
31 "And just as you want people to treat you, treat them in the same way.---NASB

As a Christian you have to ignore some of your basic human rights.

Please tell me what you need an assault rifle or a rocket launcher for?--unless your part of the nat. guard. Also why do you need armor piercing ammo? The deer started to wear Kevlar coats? It is interesting since 2007 the United States has more guns per capita than any nation in the world, 9 weapons for every 10 citizens. Also even with guns locked up in a home there is a 22 times more chance of a family member getting killed (the last statistic was from a more distant memory so, if that's wrong correct me).

The right to bear arms has nothing to do with hunting, and it is not revocable because of the misdeeds of someone in CT.
Very well stated.

Hmm, has anyone used his fists to kill 26 or people at one time? This is why we have control over explosives. Does one need a rocket launcher to hunt a dear, or an assault rifle to quickly pump 20 rounds into a deer to bring it down?

It sounds like the 2004 law on WMDs of the assault rifle needs to be re-instituted and hole in the Brady law filled. Gun Violence -- Guns in the Home.

It may now surprise you I have no difficulty with people who want to hunt do sports shooting, etc. I'm really not for cleaning all guns out of the U.S., but rocket launchers -- really! Oh, as the report of this thread pointed out, people have been killing people killing other people before there were guns.

Genesis 4
8 And Cain told Abel his brother. And it came about when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
9 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" And he said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?"
10 And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to Me from the ground.---NASB

It will keep on happening until Christ comes back to establish his Kingdom.
