Obama Admin Tells Court: Hobby Lobby Must Obey HHS Mandate
The Obama administration told a federal court today that the Christian business Hobby Lobby must obey the HHS mandate that forces religious companies to pay for drugs for women that may cause abortions.
The administration’s arguments in this case are shocking. Here’s what they are saying: once someone starts a “secular” business, he categorically loses any right to run that business in accordance with his conscience. The business owner simply leaves her First Amendment rights at home when she goes to work at the business she built. Kosher butchers around the country must be shocked to find that they now run “secular” businesses. On this view of the world, even a seller of Bibles is “secular.” Hobby Lobby’s affiliate, Mardel, sells Bibles and other Christian-themed material, but because it makes a profit the government has now declared it “secular.”...

Well that certainly is what Obama and the liberals want this nation to turn into. But the idea that I have concerning businesses only using workers from temp agencies makes sense to save companies money.

Hmm. When did HHS become part of the legislative branch of government? Looks like HHS is antinomian.

That way all they have to do is pay however much the temp agency charges for companies to use their workers. Why would any business want to have regular employees when they can use workers from temp agencies?

The valid claims against the HHS mandate based on individual liberty are legion, but Obama will push through them all with his fingers in his ears saying "la la la la la I am not listening".
Bishop: Catholic Church Will Defy Obama Abortion-HHS Mandate
Lincoln, NE | 11/12/12 2:05 PM
The new Catholic bishop in Lincoln, Nebraska says the Catholic Church will openly defy the Obama-HHS mandate that compels religious groups and businesses to pay for drugs that may cause abortions.
“The Catholic Church is not going to back down,” said Denver Auxiliary Bishop James Conley, who will start as the new bishop of the Lincoln Diocese on Nov. 20. “We are never going to compromise our principles. We will defy it and face the consequences.”
