Russ, I agree fully with you regarding Hebrews 11:13-16. I am simply a stranger and an alien in this world. That may not solve all our problems, but it sure helps! But, I do know this with certainty; one day all the evil in this world will be gone and done away with when my Lord returns.
I also agree with you regarding pre-trib. The only way they can come up with that is through extreme inference and by caring more about those who teach, then about "the Teacher". I started as a post-triber, then switched early to pre-trib because of my "peer" group, but then read the scriptures for myself and ended up as a post-triber for many many years now.
Jeremiah 17 says that anyone who trusts in man is cursed, and Psalm 118 tells us to trust in God rather than put our confidence in man. On the other hand, also in the Old Testament, the Hebrews in exile were told to plant trees, vineyards, etc and seek the good of their exile country. One of their prophets was told to buy lands though the real estate market was in the dumps. I don't think we have to "wear our religion on our sleeves" to enter into an intelligent conversation about why same-sex marriage is bad for the culture (e.g. see Europe's declining culture of marriage) or why re-electing the current President, son-of-a-white-woman, is not a good thing for the country. Now, excuse me while I get back to eating my pork Bar-B-Q sandwich (a la Isaiah 65:4).

Perhaps the reason society at large is becoming increasingly wicked is because the church has failed to consistently preach all the counsel of God (Acts 20:27); many professing Christians fail to study to show themselves approved as well (II Timothy 2:15).

It is pre-tribulation rapture that will fit and make sense in a 'literal' interpretation of the whole context of Scripture and God's promises both to the Church and to Israel (they are not the same), especially that we do not know the day or hour.
And when you have studied it out, praise God for the blessed hope of believers and tremble at the immenient return of Christ.
You are right, of course. To say that the repubs are the "Godly" party is wrong at best. Neither party is the answer. I'm afraid that it really may be too late to affect change here anyway. Hebrews 11:13-16 is the answer.

Correct. But if there is a Republican president instead of a Democratic president then the chances are much greater that 2 Chronicles 7:14 will come to pass since the Republican party is Godly and the Democratic party is Satanic.
This is why it is imperative that a Republican get in the White House to put a stop to the ever increasing moral decay in the United States by putting judges on courts that are going to enact laws that are going to stop this insanity.
