Rev. Jesse Jackson: Jesus Was Killed Because He ‘Occupied’ the Corrupt Temple?
Tim Tebow wasn’t the only famous figure to deliver an Easter message this weekend. Reverend Jesse Jackson marked the occasion with a message of his own– that Jesus was an “Occupier.”

ackson was speaking to a crowd of predominantly “Occupy Chicago” individuals when he made the analogy, right after a “Chicago Spring” event.

After introducing Jesus as an “immigrant” and “refugee,“ as ”someone who fought for the poor because He was among the poor,” Reverend Jackson asked the group to recall when Jesus cleared the moneychangers out of the Temple in Jerusalem. ...

I am trusting in Christ alone for salvation because I prayed to Him and asked Him to become my Personal Lord and Savior. But there is nothing wrong with being interested in criminology.

Isolate 5 little insignifant Christians to weigh in on John 3:36, and when they emerge they will all say the same: "Those who believe not on the Son, but attempt some other way to be saved, remain under God's wrath; but those who are trusting solely in the Son only already have everlasting life."

John 3:36
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

To be honest, Jackson's view represents just another biblical perspective. Who could ever set an upper limit for the number of interpretations one can get out of a single Bible verse (e.g., Acts 2:38)?

Another example of the churches desperate need to return to Sola Scriptural instead of this editorializing of God's Holy Word to fit what ever point the person desires. We dont need revival we need another reformation!

Race baiter "Rev." Jesse Jackson wouldn't recognize a Christian if one were to sit in his lap and tell him of his need for salvation.

Jesus did say "Occupy till I come," but when He said it, He was talking about work, not at all what these protesters are talking about.

Interesting take.

Evidently "newspaper-theology/prophecy" is not limited to just radical conservative "Christians" but radical liberal ones as well.

Years ago I remember Jackson making similar class-warfare eisegesis regarding Herod and the Innkeeper's lack of ability or willingness to help Mary and Joseph.

Quote; "Jackson becomes somewhat difficult to understand after that"

No surprise there!!

The devout Liberal religious person always try's extra hard to please the audience. The audience they pick ususally has an axe to grind against the society in which they fail to live in. The idol then becomes the politically correct cause celebre. Jackson's expertise lies amongst this idolatry.

All that glitters is not gold.
All that appears destitute is not the poor.

Proverbs 10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

Proverbs 22:2 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.

Proverbs 30:8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: 9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

Jesus--the Son of God--specifically came down to die for allot our sins!! Mr. Jackson is disrespectful in comparing our precious Lord with the occupiers.
