The world will end October 21, says Harold Camping … but no billboards this time

This time the end of the world will be real, says 90-year-old California radio mogul Harold Camping — October 21, so be ready.

But he doesn’t sound quite so confident this time. He suffered a stroke shortly after his most recent false alarm — May 21. He’s been in a nursing home. But now, he’s proclaiming new warning.

Well, there you have it.I never thought I'd see the day when Tony agreed with those evil jesuits. As some are familiar with Francisco Ribera,a jesuit, who was appointed by Rome to take the heat off the pope, who the Protestants of the day were saying was the antichrist. He invented the futurist view to promote a future one-world leader, who would appear at the last days, etc, etc.
But oh-well,if Harold Camping and Tony say it's really, really true....

Are we still arguing over this false gospel of a seven year tribulation and the "Church"being taken away from any persecution?Hasn't this been settled already by so much evidence against this heresy?
The fact that this all began with a farm girl named Margret McDonald and was passed on to John Nelson Darby, who with the help of Scofield developed the doctrine of dispensationalism, speaks volumes of the truth of it all.It is in no way biblical and helps nobody in seeking forgiveness in Christ Jesus. It is the false gospel of the second chance. It gives a person the false hope of salvation by putting it off until after the so-called rapture happens, then seeking Christ but it will be too late.

Our Lord's whole answer, designedly enigmatic to the Pharisees (cf) mt 13:10-13 had a dispensational meaning. The kingdom in its outward form, as covenanted to David 2sa 7:8-17 and described by the prophets (See Scofield "Zec12:8") had been rejected by the Jews; so that, during this present age, it would not "come with observation" (lit. "outward show") but in the hearts of men (cf) ; lu 19:11,12; ac 1:6-8.
(See Scofield "Ac1:6") . See Scofield "ro 14:17.
Meantime, the kingdom was actually "in the midst" of the Pharisees in the persons of the King and His disciples.

1,200 characters and you run out of space answering a simple question: "How many kingdoms of God are there?" ?

That's all right, Jim. I know you can't honestly answer the question without condemning your own eschatology so your non-answer is the answer I was looking for. After all, what's a few contradictions amongst like-minded Dispy friends, eh?

One should separate Harry from the pre-trib his blessing in this area doesn't make it either right or wrong, as does some Christians ignoring the truth about The Unscriptural Theologies Of Amillennialism And Postmillennialism.

Gil Rugh has a very short sermon on Dispensations. I would suggest that you listen to that.

Ah, but if you do have some time (Like four hours? ) These four sermons should be of interest to you, Evidence for the Pre-Trib Rapture part 1, and Evidence for the Pre-Trib Rapture part 2 plus The Timing of the Rapture, Part 1 and The Timing of the Rapture, Part 2

Ah, but this will take quite a bit of less time! an article, ESCHATOLOGY--Different Rapture Views, this might help some of your questions Lurker, but I'm running out of space!

Jodi,
Its really not a debate, but rather a concern by my brethren that such a Scriptually deficient argument as the premill/pretrib return has captivated so many Biblically illiterate Christians in the USA.

Dispensational theology spiritually bankrupts those in defense of the eschatology. In order to defend the rather recent 200 year old heresy, her proponents must ignore vital sections of Scripture and pillars of Christian historical thought. This ignorance robs them of the true richness of Gods Word and condemns them to looking for spiritual answers in the New York Times or other news outlet.

Dont fall victim to this delusion, as its fruit only appeals to the flesh.

"The teaching of two "second comings" of Jesus is not Biblical. As the Apostles' Creed simply states, "From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead." On the mount of Ascension the angels told the disciples that He would come again in the same way they saw Him depart into heaven. Nowhere does the Bible teach two "second comings." The language of 1 Thess. 4:17 does not allow for the "rapture" teaching. The phrase "to meet the Lord" literally means "to meet for the purpose of welcoming back." The Greek phrase "to meet" ( eis apanthsin) is only used on four occasions in the New Testament. In each case it means to go out to meet for the purpose of welcoming. (See, for example, Acts 28:15.)

Conclusion
Premillennial Dispensationalism is a deceptive teaching. Those who promote these views and fill the minds of God's people with this nonsense are perpetrating a hoax."

Perhaps, Jim, but lets deal with my questions first. Since you know the verses my questions allude to, I'll assume you will answer in the affirmative to all five questions.
Before you are tempted to deny the five questions I presented, consider..

Luk 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Observation: paratērēsis meaning "in such a manner that it can be watched with the eyes, i.e. in a physical manner." (Strongs)

Yet Gil Rugh says Christ's kingdom will be both physical and observable: "The yet to be assumed Davidic throne is the one Church-age believers will share with Him (Revelation 2:26.) When Psalm 110:1 is fulfilled Christ will return to earth and take His seat on that throne promised to David and from there rule over the Kingdom of God on the earth."

The problem, Jim, is your dogmatic insistance that all the bible must be interpreted literally. In this you parrot Gil Rugh and deny the very words of Jesus who taught His kingdom would not be literal. That's a dangerous path to blindly follow, Jim.

That being the case, how many kingdoms of God are there?

Jim Lincoln wrote:

The bible must be interpreted in whatever manner is necessary to preserve its inerrancy, infallibility and internal consistency. God didn't inspire a user's guide so it's up to us, His people, to figure it out.

Btw, of course there will be a catching away of God's people but not quite like the vanishing, flying Christians fiction. Daniel 12:1-4 is in the same exact timeline of fulfillment as Paul's 1 Thes 4:17 and needs to be part of our understanding of the rapture which is part and parcel of the second resurrection, when the seventh trumpet begins to sound and: "he shall reign for ever and ever" (Rev 11:15), not just a 1,000 years.

. . .

Did you say something, TLC?

I would suggest you look over the summary of The Prophesied Kingdom, part 2 and explain those Bible verses? The book of Revelation is to be interpreted literally, just like the rest of the Bible. I would suggest that you look over the summary of The King of the Prophesied Kingdom.

Anyway, I'm sorry you didn't listen to the entire sermon, one finds it hard to believe the nonsense of Preterism! I Can't Believe It! or for that matter, The Unscriptural Theology of Amillennialism and Postmillennialism The two forementioned urls are printed articles by the way, so should take you less time to go through.

I endured about 30 minutes before I had to shut it off. I find it hard to believe people pay perfectly good money to learn this nonsense at seminaries.

One point of this pre-trib rapture myth which caught my attention was that the kingdom of God is taught to be a literal physical kingdom which will be Christ's millennial kingdom headquartered in literal Jerusalem during a literal 1,000 year, future to now, reign.

Didn't Jesus tell the Pharisees that the kingdom of God came not by observation but would be in His people?

Didn't Jesus tell the Jews that the kingdom of God would be taken from them and given to a people bringing forth the fruit thereof?

Didn't this threat become reality when God confined the Jews in unbelief and extended His mercy to the Gentiles?

Didn't Paul preach the kingdom of God; viz. the gospel?

Didn't Paul teach that believers have been translated into the kingdom of the Father's dear Son (Col 1:13), the same kingdom He receive in Daniel 7:13-14?

All rhetorical questions, of course.

It says that "That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left."
Not "That is how it will be precisely 7 years before the coming of the Son of Man", but "That is how it will be AT the coming of the Son of Man."
ah Silo, I'm in agreement with you! That's why I referred to Matthew 24!~ There is no indication that Christ will remove the church before tribulation in Matthew 24.......in fact, multiple times it talks about the elect DURING tribulation, and then the second coming of Christ comes IMMEDIATELY AFTER.

The gospel is not about seeking salvation from 7 years of getting beat up by God, the gospel is about seeking freedom from our sinful nature unto redemption!! If anything, God disciplines His own and the world will not like the message of Christ, because to the unrepentant it just points out their sin and a need for change-- Eternal life is the message. And all will face a resurection, some for judgement, so as far as being "caught up", it also says in Matthew 24 that many from the tribes of the earth will mourn that day.

1 Thessalonians 4
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.---NASB

There is going to be a rapture and you can listen to the sermons to see why a Pre-Trib rapture is the better one to chose over Mid- or Post-Trib.
