Food stamp use reaches another high in September: 47.7 million participants
Participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamps, reached another high in September, according to new data released by the United Stated Department of Agriculture.
The most recent data on SNAP participation were released Friday, and showed that 47,710,324 people were enrolled in the program in September, an increase of 607,559 from the 47,102,765 enrolled in August.
The number of households enrolled in the program also increased from 22,684,463 in August to 22,973,698 in September, an increase of 289,235. The average benefit, according to the new data, was $134.29 per person and $278.89 per household....

Well, I have to admit that it was an educated guess, Frank, as I very rarely use abbreviations myself. Lurker, you sure know a lot for only being saved for 10 years.

Well, a fellow old-timer Yes, I turned 66 last month, so just remember that you are my "younger" brother. I have been saved for 32 years and I remember there were years when I couldn't put it down either, especially right after I became saved.
I don't have any more cake, but I will make sure to remember you this Friday in prayer. That the Lord blesses you, keeps you close to Him and is gracious to you. Since you and I are the only embers I know of, we both need that. Happy Birthday brother.

Like Frank before me, I generally speak differently to the fairer sex than I do men. Probably has to do with the age I was raised in. But like Frank, no problem for I always appreciate reading a sister's prospective.
A little constructive criticism.... you often abbreviate words which are not typically abbreviated (eg: cohn for constitution, wore for war, etc.) which can cause great difficulty for me to understand your POV. Think about it.

I always thought you were male. I have never read any post you have written that gave me any other impression. I argue and debate differently with females so I wish I had known that. But, no problem.
