Rick Warren Uncertain if Homosexual Behavior is Sinful, Says ‘Gays’ Go to Heaven
Controversy is stirring over recent comments made by Rick Warren, author of the best-selling book The Purpose-Driven Life and megachurch leader of Saddleback Church in California, who stated that homosexual behavior “might be” sinful, and that he believes homosexuals go to Heaven.
During an interview this week with the Huffington Post, Warren was asked by Marc Lamont Hill if having romantic feelings for a member of the same sex is a sin. Leading up to the question, Warren was explaining that he does not hate homosexuals, and that people should disagree politely on the subject of homosexuality.
“I have many, many gay friends, and have worked around the world with them in gay organizations to try to stop AIDS,” he said. “We’re doing ‘World AIDS Day’ this weekend at Saddleback Church. My wife and I have given millions of dollars to help people with HIV/AIDS and have worked with gay organizations on...
In the article it is stated that he said gays go to heaven when in fact he said that a sinner who puts his trust in Jesus will go to heaven. The interviewer or the author/ editor of this article was dishosnest and that too is hell worthy sin.
This is what happens when Christians pander to these folks by calling them 'homosexual'. That is agreeing with them in their argument they are 'born that way'. But they are not born that way and they are not 'homosexual'. They commit sodomy - they are SODOMITES. Why do you suppose that is the one name that they haven't embraced and still sends them into a devilish snit?
BTW - There's no reason for Warren or anyone else to work to stop AIDS. I know how to stop it and so do they. They just choose to keep doing what they are doing instead.

Romans 1:26,27. Therefore this is NOT natural and just as therefore GOD clearly does not identify it as anything but SIN which HE hates. This leaves Warren as unBiblical and therefore unChristian. Psalm 5:4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. 5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. 6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

When your planet undergoes a moral mudslide, the Bible was supposed to be the universal North Star. Every single pastor was supposed to be able to read the text, stick his finger in the air and point skyward. But as the sand also massively flows under St. Peter's Chair, can the papacy -- through some form of dead reckoning (without peeking at the SA News and comments) -- still locate which way is up when the Warrens, the PCUSAs, the COSs, the TECs, the COEs, the UCCs and the ELCAs of the world can't or won't?
Is the cause of this moral chaos in Christian circles and families a simple misreading, a widescale miscontextualizaton or just a profound ignorance of the Scripture?

Well, as I said before, nobody these days can have a "mega" church without being able to be a friend to everyone. Mr Warren went on to make the point that in the end, he is an Evangelical Pastor with the Bible being his sole authority. Hmmm.
I remember saying several months ago that Rick Warren was a heretic and I was accused of being sanctimonious and a few other not so kind things. Well, it looks like the most published heretic in history has now redefined God's word so that everyone should be able to see through him. I just hope and pray that he doesn't confuse the body of Christ any more than he has already done. A practicing, unrepentent homosexual can't be saved. I also hope that genuine Christian leaders will speak up and clearly expose this fellow. Oh yes, and that includes John Piper!
