End-Times Christian Movie Series ‘Left Behind’ Set for Hollywood Reboot
While the “Left Behind” series is getting a major face-lift, the team behind the older films is, at least to a degree, intact. Writer, producer and Cloud Ten Pictures founder Paul Lalonde worked on the original series and he’s once again leading the latest effort. Script consultant John Patus, one of the many individuals who worked on “Left Behind: World at War,” the third movie in the series, is also involved in the new project.

While the reboot will follow what the Hollywood Reporter calls “a classic disaster film” format, the essential tenets of end-times theology will still be present. In fact, the film will remain Christian at its core, with the plot, once again, focusing on the survivors living in the hours after the Biblical Rapture. ...

Ah, now John, this is a bit different. This "remnant of Israel", this is Abraham's descendents who are currently alive when the event occurs? So that those of Abraham's descendents who die unbelieving just before it occurs, will perish because of unbelief? But those lucky ones who are alive when God chooses to enlighten them as a whole nation, will be saved?

It all seems a bit odd to me, but I am thanking you for your responses, and I keep an open mind. But I somehow feel that the truth is somewhat different from what you hold forth. I would dearly love to grasp it, because obviously God has something yet for his ancient people, but I cannot yet see it.

They have already been cast into the Lake of Fire. That happened when they passed away and stood before Jesus.

Sorry Dorey my KJB says in Rev 20:4 says:
"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
Putting that with Matt 5:22 shows a 1000 reign.
Throw out your teachings from North Africa.

And Mike thank you for correcting my English, what I meant was individual salvation for the Gentiles.

Thanks Mike, but this is very odd:
_________
"In other words, the natural Israel — not 'the remnant of them according to the election of grace,' but THE NATION, sprung from Abraham according to the flesh — are still an elect people, and as such, "beloved." The very same love which chose the fathers, and rested on the fathers as a parent stem of the nation, still rests on their descendants at large, and will yet recover them from unbelief, and reinstate them in the family of God." end quote
_________

This appears to be saying that each and every one of Abraham's descendents according the flesh are chosen by God unto salvation. And that, despite the majority of them living their lives in unbelief, and being condemned by Jesus as we read in the gospels.

Justification by election?

John UK...Paul says who Israel is in Rms 9:3-4. They are brethren and kinsmen according to the flesh. They are Israelites. He is saying they are according to the flesh, not spiritual Israel. Rms 11:1 says, "...God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin". Does that help any?

not all those who say they are of Israel are.

I still cannot think of a time in scripture when God brought the people back to the land, that it wasn't done under the direction of the OT/Mosaic law and repentance of the nation.

And if they were to return to sacrificing, would that not be an abomination?

That would be an abomination, just as the RCC reslaying the Son in their "real blood", "real flesh" communion.

Why is it an abomination?

The Messiah has been slain. His work is finished and was complete. There is no worldly substitute and there is no more atonement in the slaying of animals. It is spitting in the face of God.

In fact, isn't this the very reason why Christ prophesied the complete destruction of the temple? Am I to believe that God would bless the restructuring to reestablish this abomination?

American church is leading the nations away from an understanding of the Messiah.

Sorry Jim, Christians arent going to change Biblical soteriology because your guy made the same mistake the scribes made 2000 years ago. National salvation is just as wrong today, as it was 2000 years ago

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Thank you John, but it seems to me it is not so simple as that. For eg. When did the Jews become the nation Israel? Are we going back to Jacob/Israel in the OT? If so, then all the descendents of Jacob will be saved and go to heaven because of genealogy not faith. But the text seems to be saying that some Jews will come to faith in Jesus Christ near the end of the world.
Can you see the problem I have with it? I do not have answers, which is why I ask the question.
Paul indeed prayed for his fellow countrymen, but very few of them were actually saved, looking back to the first century. But the promises were to the fathers, which goes right back to the OT.
Therefore can you give a more detailed definition of "Israel/Jacob"?

The article A Brief History of Early Premillennialism should adequately explain Premillennialism, and the sermons, Evidence for the Pre-Trib Rapture part 1, and Evidence for the Pre-Trib Rapture part 2 at least look over the summaries for those sermons.

About Romans 11:26, John U.K., see very least the summary for, The Final Salvation of Israel

So Dorey you and Schwertley are calling John the Apostle a lier when he wrote Rev 20? Which shows a 1,000 year reign of Christ
The PreMill rapture fairy story was invented by Margaret MacDonald in Scotland in the 19th century. Then John Darby the daddy of the Dispy worldly philosophy preached it to those who were willing to believe.

The PreMills are reading Scripture wrong, including Rev 20. The Bible says different. There isn't going to be a Dispy Rapture the whole thing is a fallacy.

God promised eternity - NOT a 1000 years.

God does not need to send everybody round again for another 1000 years to check HIS facts. HE knows who the Elect are and they are ordained to eternal life NOW. TODAY.

Junk the PreMill rapture hypothesis it is UNBiblical!!
