Leftists Bash Actress For Submitting To Husband

The left’s intolerance of Christianity extends much further than the debate over homosexuality, though. As actress Candace Cameron Bure recently discovered, any reference to one’s Christian values can cause a conniption among the perpetually offended progressive crowd.

She has been making the media rounds this week to promote her recent book, “Balancing It All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose.” In it, she writes about her experiences as a working mother and wife; however, leftists have focused their attention on her adherence to the biblical principle of submitting to her husband.

Though she offered a sound, logical response to those who question her position, radical feminists have implicitly labeled her Public Enemy No. 1. ...

I will have farmhands to take care of the farm animals while I and the family are away on concert tours. And the times I and the family are home I will take care of the farm animals.

You are incorrect. I don't plan to attempt to live the exception rather than the rule. I plan on getting a fulltime Data Entry job, form a small Country Music/Country Gospel band, play various venues around town to get recognized and get a recording contract and become a millionaire. When I get married my wife and children will come along on the concert tours.

Anne Wild West, Just what is so wrong with a married woman having a college degree if she is going to be a stay at home wife/mother? Getting a college education is very important regardless if a woman is going to be a stay at home wife/mother.

I am moderately old so I can be discerning at times. John Y answer clearly shows he just wants a pot to stir, I am not going to be that pot.

Brother you are very kind and an encouragement to me. I have considered the things you have said in the past. To receive kind words from you is a blessing. It is comforting when we speak of things hidden yet we understand whats being said between each other

Keep it up Candace. Feminists have spoiled ourr God given right to stay at home to raise children. Countless kids are raising themselves undet pretty dire circumstances. They are depressed, unmotivated and lethargic. Some mature adult needs to be there to take charge. Not that hard. Turn off thevTV. Speak kindly and nourish heir tummies with some simple cooking. Take an active interest in their lives. You will be surprised how these simple measures will revive your child and you also,

I looked back at all your posts and I would have to say that you and I never feed the troll(s). Your comments are short, but very good and always edifying. I wish I had the gift of being able to say things with few words, but I don't.

Dorcas and Anne, both of you are truly blessings!

Good for you Candace for living a balanced life under Christian principles. Do not be intimidated by women who wish to emulate men. Caring for your family and husband is our God given priviledge to prepare our kids for this life and hereafter. You can sleep peacefully knowing that their needs are met by parents in a stable environment. Domestic chiores are really not that bad follks. You are queen in your own realm and your child's love is your reward.

Having been married over 45 years the one thing that I know for sure is that marriage and being a keeper of the home go together.
Homemaking is the noblest occupation in the world and I for one am not ashamed to state this!
Four things that are most important and I'm sure you ladies could add many more...
Don't put others before your husband.
Don't be a nag(remember Delilah?)
Don't resent your inl-laws
Don't be jealous.
"Every wise woman buildeth her house:but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands."
Proverbs 14:1.

When God cursed Adam and Eve after the fall, He cursed Eve with great pain in childbirth and Adam with providing food by toil and sweat. While the Proverbs 31 woman, whom feminists jump to for working outside the home to "provide", did indeed conduct business transactions and hold money, I ask anyone to show me where this proves women may work outside the home. It simply allows a women, in certain seasons of life, to add to the home all the while under her husbands approval and AFTER the home is kept! We are NOT items of income as many nowadays seem to require women to carry both curses. God BLESSED women as keepers OF the home, not cursed us to provide FOR the family. We are to trust God to do His work in our husbands and "You (speaking to women) have become [Sarah's] children when you do what is good and are not frightened by anything alarming." (1 Peter 3:6). Dolores's testimony shows God to be true and faithful to His children when they obey Him rather than leaning on our own understanding.

And a nursing degree? Is that because before women could get nursing degrees they didn't know how to take care of their kids...? Sorry, doesn't make any sense there John Y.

Thank you. I have much reverence for you as you seem to be an elder man with prudence. I fear openning my mouth and am horrified to open my mouth in haste and ignorrance. So I didn't know how to receive what you said but thank you
I understand your thoughts. I am old and perhaps because of that I very seldom say things that I don't mean. When I am "attempting" to use irony, humor or hidden sarcasm, I "usually" attach one of the emoticons. And I never, absolutely never give a compliment unless I truly mean it. If I call someone brother or if I say something blessed me, then I am being totally honest.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.

Oh, did you notice JohnY finding an exception to the rule; quoting it, and I'm sure he will then attempt to live the exception rather than the rule. I hate to say it, but I did warn folks that would happen.

Read the wonderful testimony of Dolores below.
It would be necessary for a married woman to work if her husband was only making minimum wage or was disabled and couldn't work to avoid going on welfare.

Well said JSC! Christians are not called to live under relativism or pragmatism. What people do is find exceptions to rules and then they live by the exceptions rather than the rules. Anyway, your comment was a blessing to me.

Matthew 5:11-12

Rejoice and be exceeding glad

Why?

Because you are maligned by the enemies of God. They recognize you as one of His so this is confirmation that God loves you and washes you.

Remember when the unconverted jews tried to command demons in the name of Jesus? What did the demons say? Jesus I know, Paul I know, but who are you? Act 19

Do the demons know you?
