Gay pride rally in Georgia derailed

Thousands of anti-gay protesters, including Orthodox priests, occupied a central street in Georgia's capital Friday, with some threatening to lash with stinging nettles any participant in a gay pride parade which was to take place there.

Police in Tbilisi guarded several dozen gay activists and bused them out of the city center shortly after they arrived at the gathering. Those occupying the street held posters reading "We don't need Sodom and Gomorrah!" and "Democracy does not equal immorality!"

Police, however, failed to prevent scuffles, which resulted in 16 people getting injured, the ambulance service said. ...

...something right and being persecuted for the gospels sake; believing they are under Satanic attack and thanking Jesus for being counted worthy to be persecuted for Him. For the rest of us, we see something very, very wrong, but they will never be convinced of anything other than what is wrapped up to tightly in their heads. Hopefully I made sense.

Oh please...slide down the bench so number 1 can sit down.
I always find it interesting to follow and get to know the different personalities on this board. I listen to what they say and take notice of what they don't say. I watch to see if they ask questions, or if they tend to dictate. I remember the smallest of details from way back and watch to see if they ever contradict themselves. I watch to see if they practice what they are preaching. I watch to see if they are consistently humble, respectful, willing to learn, and non-judgemental. I watch to see what their true intents are; are they here to learn grow, and teach, or have they come here only to teach because they have it all figured out. I watch to see how they will handle anyone disagreeing with them; will they ponder that they could be wrong, or will they regard it as foolishness.

Well that's real nice, brother, thank you.

It seems there is some jostling for position, though. There are several who want to usurp your throne, and I'm not sure if you're gonna be able to hang on to it.

Mike, during the gold rush, you had to stake your claim pretty quick, or you'd lose it. So if you want to take it up with Frank......

"What you win them with you win them to."

When they win you with "Praise Jesus! God has a wonderful plan for your life! Pray this prayer. Sign this booklet!" but then your life immediately makes a turn for the worse with trials and tribulations crashing down on your head especially for those with pagan parents, siblings, family or friends, then one could truly label the conversion "terrible."

Begging your pardon "I'm not sure I have been called to go to one..." is the justification crutch commonly used by Christians to do nothing.

Is it true bro that Roman Catholics claim to be born again? And that they use phrases like "us miserable sinners"? And, "Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy."?
This is why I have asked Lisa to stick her flag up and claim the true faith of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone. Still waiting.

But, you have to remember that being logical sometimes could be 99% of the time! Since that is a logical statement you will agree. Well actually if you were logical 100% of the time, that could logically include being logical sometimes.
And, to be honest, after reading Lisa's posts, I am very tempted to lower you to number 3.
But, if our Lord called and used Jacob, then He can certainly call and use us!

Lisa, if that is your testimony, I hope it is true. But amazed that you never mentioned Jesus as doing anything for you.
Can I take it that you believe the Lord Jesus Christ is both Almighty God and a truly human Man?
And can I take it that you believe the God-Man "took" your sins upon himself, and bore away that wrath of God due unto you? And that this is the only way God can give you forgiveness, through the vicarious suffering of Christ?
And that the Lord Jesus Christ arose from the dead on the third day, and later ascended into heaven, where he sits at the right hand of the Father, having all authority in heaven and on earth?

You wanna compare notes...you would be shocked to hear what Christ forgave me of...I ain't gonna say because it's between me and him ( bad bad stuff). I know Paul thinks he was bad but frank you are speaking to one in many ways worse. I can't wait to meet Paul and tell him he was not actually the most evil sinner. And see knowing how vile and how he has forgiven me- I cannot be a nettle shaker, it's hypocrisy....and if I am wrong and I should have been, I will just have to again ask his forgiveness. I have to ask myself what would Jesus do if he went to a gay pride? Would he indeed go to one ? My experience ( limited though it is) is of dealing with a number of youngsters who were homosexual. Several of whom had been bullied for being gay. Another pal of mine was gay and I had heard rumours but he never told me and i never asked ( we worked together and he was a top class nurse- we were busy) the next I heard he had died of HIV. Mostly I see sad individuals who are actually not very proud of being gay- I would say that they were at some level already convicted ????

But take heart brothers and sister in Christ
as Isaiah said :
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.

Frank- I have never been to a gay pride. I'm not sure I have been called to go to one. Each man is called to his own sphere of ministry and I wouldnt condem Christians for going if called ( we once tracted and preached against a witch fest of mediums in a local village and we were called by the spirit ). Who knows in the future ? I guess if I compare the two situations there are similarities- I'm sure if there was a gay pride in the local village I would have tomgonand tract. But it would be after much prayer to find a Christ honouring manner of conveying the message. It all has to be done after much prayer... And being guided by him.

I am the worst sinner that ever existed even since I became born again. John UK acknowledged that and placed himself at number two since he couldn't be number one. Sometimes he is actually logical. Therefore, the best or worst you can be is number THREE.

Yes, some of us actually know!

Yes, JPW you are correct about those who post and about Evangelical feminism. Feminism was the root of evil in the Garden and it continues to be the trojan horse that fuels most of what we see today.
