Leftists Bash Actress For Submitting To Husband

The left’s intolerance of Christianity extends much further than the debate over homosexuality, though. As actress Candace Cameron Bure recently discovered, any reference to one’s Christian values can cause a conniption among the perpetually offended progressive crowd.

She has been making the media rounds this week to promote her recent book, “Balancing It All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose.” In it, she writes about her experiences as a working mother and wife; however, leftists have focused their attention on her adherence to the biblical principle of submitting to her husband.

Though she offered a sound, logical response to those who question her position, radical feminists have implicitly labeled her Public Enemy No. 1. ...

TC,

Understand your concern but God draws His own to His Son in time. You are fortunate in that He called you as a teen and you have your entire life to serve Him and lay up treasures in heaven. Jessa may be an old woman before her calling, if at all, and you must understand that and accept it. You plant the seed but God provides the increase in His appointed time.

Yes, I will gladly pray God's will for Jessa's life be done in His appointed time as well as pray that His will for your life be revealed to you in His time.
Until that time.... wait on the Lord. Psalm 27:14

. . .

Hello Anne,

Bless you for your prayers for dear sister Jessica.

Also, I look forward to hearing about the arrival of your newest family member as well as SF Texas.

(Psalms 16:7-9) Beautiful.

Lurker, my heartfelt prayers will go out for this woman! What a tangle of emotions and choices she had to have been dealing with!

And I will add a Dopey/David and Jessa to our prayers tonight as well. What a privalege it is to be able to ask God for anything, knowing His will will always be done and it will be perfect.

God keep you all safe and sound tonight! "I will praise the Lord who counsels me - even at night my conscience instructs me. I keep the Lord in mind always. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my spirit rejoices; my body also rests securely." (Psalms 16:7-9)

Her mom is a lesbian which really messed her up, and she won't listen to me anymore when I try to share the gospel. (She stopped listening to me MONTHS ago) A day doesn't go by where my past doesn't come back to haunt me, and every day I think about Jessa, about her eternal soul........ please pray for her, I'm begging you guys.

Lurker, I will be looking for Jessica's post and will be praying for her also. I have a sister-in-law that has the same type arthritis as well as Lupus. It helps to have other ladies on here with comments to encouage and strenghten each other. With the world increasingly being down on true Christians we do need help to carry on. Btw, I have always been highly sensitive, easily hurt even friends have told me this and one said if you had brothers like I do, you would learn to ignore remarks that hurt..maybe she was right. Need people to toughten my sensitivity.
God bless you, Dolores.

Nothing wrong with being tender hearted as long as you don't let it deprive you of likeminded Christian fellowship. In fact, I believe a humble and tender heart is highly favored by God and if God favors such, surely He gave it to you.....

Psalm 34:18
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

I find it most encouraging that you, Dorcas, Anne, penny, Lady Virtue, and others have embraced Gods role for women, and not the feminist agenda. I'm also thankful for my wife, who is trying to fulfill the role of a Biblical housewife and mother, much to the disapproval of family or friends. Keep up the good work ladies!
Thank you for the honorable mention. I must admit that I was a feminist fool for a number of years before the Lord really began to mature me and change my thinking and my desires to align with His Word. I remain a work in progress.

I pray that your wife will fulfill her Biblical role, despite not having much encouragement from family or friends. I know from personal experience that that really hurts.

God bless your family.

Ah yes, David aka Dopey. No doubt he was a brother who loved the Lord. A little different, though. Seemed to have a hard time fitting in on many discussions. Never the less, I too hope and pray all is well with him. I didn't know he was older than you. Poor fellow.

May God bless you for your prayers for all His saints. It's something I don't do often enough and today I've been especially burdened because of it.

As I recall, Jessica is in her late thirties, has a debilitating disease (rheumatoid arthritis) which keeps her mostly bed-ridden and her husband is not a Christian. She desperately needs fellowship from other sisters.
Please join me in prayer for her, sisters, and if she should happen to post again perhaps you could be a comfort to her.
God bless you all.

"Hmmm, I have a hip replacement, two knee replacements, no shoulder joints, I'm on medication to control the rheumatoid arthritis that would cause an abortion. Yet I am in "child bearing years". If I got pregnant it would kill the baby: If I withhold "relations" it would not be biblical. I think this is one for Solomon: Say, where is Solomon these days? Or, I could just not take my medication and let the disease kill me sooner, then hey! This wouldn't be an issue! Hmmm, would not accepting treatment be like committing suicide?
I pose these questions in rhetorical foolishness to you, but in all seriousness to God."
I felt so bad for her because at the time there were no other sisters on the forum, or at least none that were willing to identify themselves as sisters, to console her.
See why you have a burden for her Lurker. It brought me to tears to read her post. Will definitely be watching for her to post.
Thanks for the info. I did not come on the forum till last year and I don't remember seeing her comment since I've been here.

You don't believe that any Christian should become a millionaire? Being a millionaire ensures that one does not have to worry about becoming poor and one can leave money to their heirs. The Bible states to leave an inheritane.

Good verses GS!

Although greed and envy are issues of the heart and not necessarily our possessions, my guess is JohnY is simply trolling or he wants to put more into the collection plate at his local friendly RCC.

[5] Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: (Col 3:5 KJV)

[13] For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one [is] given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. (Jer 6:13 KJV)

[7] Two [things] have I required of thee; deny me [them] not before I die: [8] Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: [9] Lest I be full, and deny [thee], and say, Who [is] the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God [in vain]. (Pro 30:7-9 KJV)

[6] Better [is] the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than [he that is] perverse [in his] ways, though he [be] rich. (Pro 28:6 KJV)
