Pastor Rick Warren Hospitalized, Awaiting Diagnosis

Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church was hospitalized Tuesday after experiencing pain in his arms.

The renowned Southern California pastor will be undergoing a series of tests to determine what the cause is though the doctor's "diagnostic guess" is that he has an inner ear virus that may have spread to the nerves in his neck and down his arms.

"[P]ray for a quick and accurate diagnosis, a fast remedy," he asked his megachurch in an email Tuesday late afternoon.

Let me be polite here, your mixing a whole bunch of stuff together.

First, I am no fan of Augustine, the doctor of the Roman Catholic false religion and take a bit of offense that anyone who make him out to be somekind of authority on Biblical Theology, as he certainly was NOT an apostle like Paul and Peter and the writers of the NT.

Second and this may be far more important for you:

The Lord Jesus Christ Himself is The Gospel, He died not to put in place a system of religion, but He died and rose again to be our Salvation!

Scripture is clear, "He who has the Son has life!"

As to works, if I can remember correctly here, a famous evangelist has said:

"If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, than no sacrifice is too great for me to give for Him."

And this sinner saved only by the Sovereign work of God, which included the people He put to praying for me, agrees and has so much to learn and grow into for the debt of Love I owe Jesus Christ, and will count it a wonderful reality that I can never repay no matter how much priviledge He give me in serving Him.

You might not be able to understand this.

You are avoiding the issue Michael.

Don't teach works based religious philosophy. Stick to a Sovereign God who doesn't need human help to save sinners.

Remember Michael
"The old truth that Calvin preached, that Augustine preached, that Paul preached, is the truth that I must preach to-day, or else be false to my conscience and my God. I cannot shape the truth; I know of no such thing as paring off the rough edges of a doctrine. John Knox's gospel is my gospel. That which thundered through Scotland must thunder through England again." (C. H. Spurgeon)

And thunder through America today.

As Spurgeon said Calvinism IS the Godpel. That is true!

The ONLY people who can confess Jesus as Lord - ARE THE ELECT. Fact!

The sinner can ONLY make this confession WHEN the HOLY SPIRIT IS INDWELLING within HIM/HER. Fact!

Now you said that you had LEFT the RCC. Well if you really have left their works based theology stop trying to make human input a qualification for salvation.

as Biblically:

Romans 10

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Hmmm? Calvinists obeying the Scripture? Interesting.

It's actually not that I can't or even that I won't believe. There's something you must know: There's more going on here than meets the eye.
My thoughts and actions are being controlled by the government through the use of a mind control device which was implanted in my body the last time I was abducted by aliens. The CIA acquired the technology for thought manipulation several years ago from a secret underground research facility run by the Proctor and Gamble corporation in conspiracy with Satan and with the support of the Illuminati. They were unsuccessful in their plot to destroy America by planting explosives in the World Trade Center and faking a terrorist attack. So it was agreed upon to use a method more subtle and difficult to detect this time. They decided to send corrupt members of the clergy such as myself onto Christian websites to convince the people of God to turn against the Lord and usher in the New World Order.

I would like you to reconsider your theology just a bit.

Might we say God will divinely intervene in the lives of those who hard held up before His throne of grace in the fervent prayers and intercession of His own?

Please don't get angry with me for asking this.

And please don't get upset with me for saying: If we really want to know and experience the Sovereignty of God, of God being God as He really is as Almighty God, we must pray!

Those who are under the dominion of sin do not have the freedom or ability to believe in Christ. Free will is a complete fallacy. Free will in the human has never existed on earth.

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

"Quickened" here means made alive IN Christ.

The Pre-quickened state is "dead in sin."

God only quickens the elect. The elect are the Remnant predestinated to be chosen/elect by God. Those whom God foreknew He predestinated and He effectually calls unto salvation. (Rom 8:29,30)

When quickened ie born again the saved person believes on Christ unto salvation.

All those who do not believe - can not believe without divine help. These are the atheists, humanists, Liberals, secularists etc, ie Reprobates on their way to hell and damnation.

"pastor" Mike is like the Liberals in the churches - Religionists who make it up as they go along in the dominion of sin, blinded by Satan.

Good morning, Michael.

You asked some powerful questions and I regret I have to leave for the day but.....

I recall the many prayers for your salvation which were eventually rewarded. I happen to believe that God wants us to unceasingly pray for the lost, especially loved ones, so that, if it be His will, when He answers those prayers, those who prayed, believed, trusted, and would not relent, would be blessed beyond measure when their prayers are answered, their faith strengthened and He receives the glory due Him for divine intervention.

I am compelled to believe that many saints prayed for Nebuchadnezzar (Dan 4:34) as well as Saul (Damascus Road) and many others not specifically mentioned in the bible.

Amen?

God bless, bro. Gotta go.

Why must it be one or the other? I have for a long time believed that the apparent will of man and the permissive will of God must be in perfect agreement if the organic whole of the bible be true.
The question, imo, really is: Why is the Word of God the savor of life to some and the savor of death to others?
If that question be true, and it is (2 Cor 2:16), "could" Pastor ( ) Mike choose to believe and obey the truth at this time absent divine intervention? The "would" is obvious.

The "would" is obvious.

Deu 29:4 Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Luke 17:5-6 KJV

How much belief do we really have? Where does "great faith" come from?

As to answering your question to Phoebe start with Romans 1 and pay attention to 'without excuse' in the context of chapter 1 continuing on into chapter 2 of what leads a person to repentance.
