The Reformation and Calvinism vs. Arminianism

By the opening years of the seventeenth century, the Reformation had turned European Christianity into a conglomeration of conflicting sects. The Roman Catholic Council of Trent drew a firm line between Catholics and Protestants by declaring that Roman Catholic tradition represents the final authority when it comes to interpreting the Bible.

Unfortunately, they survived because they landed in a heap of horse manure. Historians have named this foul-smelling event the “Defenestration of Prague,” which proves once and for all that historians have no sense of humor when it comes to naming events.

The Defenestration of Prague—or, as I prefer to call it, “The Great Stinky Second-Story Window Tossing”—was how the Thirty Years’ ...

This is not what Christ had in mind when he prayed:
Father, may they be one with one another, as I am one with You, so that the world will know that thou dids't send Me (John 17).

With 500 years of bitter public conflict, the world neither knows nor cares that the Father sent Jesus.
"The Reformation is arguably the worst thing to ever occur to the Western world."
Biblical unity is not of denomination, but of Spirit. As for the Council of Trent "declaring that Roman Catholic tradition represents the final authority when it comes to interpreting the Bible," it had no authority to make such false declarations in the first place.

Tragic conflict:
The worse thing that happened in Europe is the position of Pope. Jesus does not need a mockery of a vicar on earth for Him to sovereignly rule His Kingdom. Conflict is to come, as well as factions, read the Letters of Paul. The world believes we come from cosmic goo, so the Reformation is a foreign concept anyhow. The Reformation brought us out of the insidious devilry of the Popish church. Soli Deo Gloria!

There will always be conflict between those who hold to the truth and those who hold to error. You do err when you blame those who hold to the truth. Note that Jesus himself had plenty of conflict when he walked this earth. Remember, he who IS the truth, had plenty of problems with those who disagreed with him.

Do you disagree?
