Barack Obama wins election for second term as president
President Barack Obama handily defeated Gov. Mitt Romney and won himself a second term Tuesday after a bitter and historically expensive race that was primarily fought in just a handful of battleground states. Obama beat Romney after nabbing the crucial state of Ohio.
The Romney campaign's last-ditch attempt to put blue-leaning Midwestern swing states in play failed as Obama's Midwestern firewall sent the president back to the White House for four more years. Obama picked up the swing states of New Hampshire, Michigan, New Mexico, Iowa, Wisconsin, Colorado, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Ohio. Florida and Virginia are still too close to call, but even if he won them, they would not give Romney enough Electoral College votes to put him over the top. The popular vote will most likely be much narrower than the president's Electoral College victory.

You're very welcome, my friend. BTW, in the UK, a skipper is an informal name for the "captain" of a ship or football team or bowls pairing, although in the case of bowls it is normally shortened to skip. And boiling any of them in a bag is illegal here.

The government cannot make Christians do what God forbids or prevent them from doing what God commands. They can only make demands and punish those who fail to comply with those demands; it is we ourselves who freely choose either to obey or disobey ungodly demands. If Obama tries to make Christians deny their faith through prohibiting free speech or mandating that they compromise their religious principles, then Christians must simply refuse to comply with his ungodly demands. The choice is ours. What we need, therefore, is a firm resolves stand firm in our faith, be bold in our witness, and be prepared to suffer persecution in coming days if Caesar demands that we burn incense on the altar. To such demands, we must say by word and deed, "Jesus alone is Lord."

Thank you Christopher, but I never enjoyed them, and I've still got one bag left. A bit of white fish, now that would be better.
p.s. If you make an error in your post, you have ten minutes or so to remedy it by clicking "edit my comment" button.
Also, a bit of grammar for you bro. You would use apostrophe "s" if you were saying "the kipper's eyes" etc. But the simple plural form of kipper is "kippers".
Thanks, John/UK. I remembered reading through it several times over the years but could not remember what it meant or where it was in the Bible. Now, go and boil yourself a bag of "delicious" skipper's! Ha-ha.
Rufus, I wanted to thank you for your ever friendly posts/replies. Some of you get me thinking outside of the mental box I've been trapped in for many years. Some prefer to attack and belittle which never ceases to astonish me considering the nature of this particular site, so I appreciate those who would rather give friendly instruction, constructive criticism, etc.

You can lament all the reasons why things turned out the way they did, but the bottom line is that real Christians are and will continue to become an increasingly small remnant in a heathen nation.
Better to seek and pray for the peace of this nation; for in its peace, real Christians may live peaceably (Jer 29:7).
It is forgot another MAYFLOWER. Forget this country, let the heathens have it beachwear is no longer America. Wake up! Stop playing psychological "Focus on the Family" games and live out your faith with vigor and courage. Sell your TV and "christianized" worldliness and forsake this country and world. It has become kindling for fires of wrath because of our disobedience.

its time to get on our knees and ask for the faith to walk through this time.
the church slept over these years, refusing to acknowledge these foreign adventures, not hearing the voices of those who cried out that hom sec and all these new contraptions are not cohn.
we have watched our leaders. the conservative leaders vote with the liberals to strip it all away.
at least as this all goes down, evangelicals will walk through it with both eyes open.
we have believed the lies as they change everyday, and have parroted them, and refused to think for ourselves.
we have taken up foods and substances that the eugenicists have proudly and openly announced to the world are being used to depopulate the world.
and now as hyperinflation and social division, and what will the reaction be to the revelations of bengz?, we will be left as a nation infighting over these few resources.
Christ is needed now more than ever.
this election was a vote of desperation. the liberals held onto their candidate and the conservatives there's hoping to just preserve a little of their lives.
the new age we are in is the fruit of 10 years ago when the patrt act was signed. we are in a new age.
let it be remember, rom stole the ballot from RP. the voice of the cohn was ignored.

John first it will be interesting to see the stats for the Roman Catholic voters especially the more recent immigrant population. These will favor Obama for sure.
Second one thing is for sure the stats already show that ethnicity has played a very large part in Obama getting back in just as it did in him getting there in the first place. The more recent immigrants are also very big on socialism and the government funding their lifestyle with taxpayers dollars. It would take a miracle for old traditional America to return now. Obama has provided a huge focus for old angers and jealousies to be paid back on the european types who run things up till now. Factor in Liberalism and the election was a buyers market for the Democrats.
America has a brand new face to the population, the old is gone the new is very different in political philosophy, economics, sociology and demographics.
I can't speak for Russ, Christopher, but the reference is found here:
Daniel 5:25-28 KJV 25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. 26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. 27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. 28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

While this is a likely outcome, it does not have to be. We will not win the culture war through legislation so long as we do not win the culture. What this could be is a call to arms (spiritual arms) to Christians to realize it is time to roll up our sleeves and get busy doing the Lord's work. If a mere scant percentage of Christians were to get busy lifting up banners and preaching at abortion clinics, sodomite pride events, haunted houses, theaters, bars, liquor stores, wherever wickedness is found and with God as the captain, victories would occur. However, so long as Christians remain inactive and passive or, in some of the preceding examples, participants, more death will occur and closer to Sodom we will be.
All you Protestants on here who refrained from voting or voted for a Third Party presidential candidate realize that it is your fault that Obama won re election? By refraining from voting or voting for a Third Party candidate that made sure that Obama would be re elected as that took away votes from Romney.
Hey John, I didn't and still do not understand the logic. I really tried hard to as I read through the arguments but I was left with a question mark in my head. The way that I see it is that God places and uses everyone in office for His purpose. I was made to feel like I was committing a sin and would be a bad Christian and be judged for voting for the "lesser of two evils". Not by all, but a few. I saw it as voting for someone who could usher in changes that were in line with Christian theology as opposed to a Mormon who believes he will be given his own planet and wears magic underwear. I was not voting for a spiritual leader, I was voting for someone who has Christian values even though his thoelogy is of Satan. Nobody can tell me that along with many other past President's, Obama is a born again Christian, so what's the difference when some who refused to vote in this election, had no problem voting in others? Romney happened to volunteer the information that h

To accuse us of loving country more than God wasn't well thought out. We are frustrated because some feel very strongly about several current policies and laws that will now remain unchanged. Not to mention that our country is being systematically destroyed, etc.
