End-Times Christian Movie Series ‘Left Behind’ Set for Hollywood Reboot
While the “Left Behind” series is getting a major face-lift, the team behind the older films is, at least to a degree, intact. Writer, producer and Cloud Ten Pictures founder Paul Lalonde worked on the original series and he’s once again leading the latest effort. Script consultant John Patus, one of the many individuals who worked on “Left Behind: World at War,” the third movie in the series, is also involved in the new project.

While the reboot will follow what the Hollywood Reporter calls “a classic disaster film” format, the essential tenets of end-times theology will still be present. In fact, the film will remain Christian at its core, with the plot, once again, focusing on the survivors living in the hours after the Biblical Rapture. ...

Frank and John,
To clarify a point which may have appeared that I disagreed with, I also concur that we have been grafted into the good olive tree (COG) along with the houses of Jacob.
Revelation 21:9-14 KJV
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

The old and new make one wife. Correct.

The COG began in Eden's Garden and continues to the very end of the world.

I as a Gentile convert have been grafted into true Israel and we both make up the body of Christ and He only has one bride.
Frank and John,

To clarify a point which may have appeared that I disagreed with, I also concur that we have been grafted into the good olive tree (COG) along with the houses of Jacob.

Revelation 7:9-17 pictures a great multitude of Gentile converts standing before the throne of grace in addition to the tribes of Israel.

In addition, there is this from James (refer to the source prophect at Amos 9:11-12, in context, to see that we come from the "remnant of Edom and all the heathen which are called by my name":

Act 15:14-17 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

This is consistent with

Gal 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

and Rom 4:16.

Also, why is Frank being called "Neil"? And, what's with the cowardly screen name switcharoos? I've been noticing the more and more just lately. I haven't said anything but writing styles, frequently used words, phrases, etc, are difficult to hide.
Lastly, if a headline had been talked out. Why not use the thread for constructive chitchat since there are no other outlets?

Yes, Christopher, there is nothing wrong with a little humor among brothers in Christ. When John and I say something humorous that was not intended to be taking literally, 99 percent of the readers would instantly understand what we are going. But, remember I said 99 percent, not 100.

But, as you know, he and I are as serious in our thoughts as anyone.
Now being serious never made anyone correct, but it is a good start and on a right path.

Yawn. Jesus with a sense of humor? To some even the thought would be heresy.

It is a reading room, where old codgers sit in their armchairs smoking their pipes, reading the newspapers, and occasionally grunt and make a comment on the latest news, which most others ignore, and then make their own grunt, and their own comment. Hence:

Tom: "Starbucks shares down I see."

Dick: "Shhhhhhhh!"

Harry: "What? Star Trek shares down? Must be those wretched Catholics again."

Uncle Ben: "I wish you'd all be quiet, I'm trying to get some sleep!"

Auntie Joan: "You men haven't get a clue - you're clueless!"

Uncle Ben: "Who let that woman in here!!??"

Archibald: "I'm sorry, but I did. She's my Auntie Joan. Isn't she allowed?"

Tom: "Ask her if she's got any shares in Starbucks."

Archibald: "Ask her yourself, you're a grown man aren't you?"

Dick: "Shhhhhhhhh!!!!!!"

Harry: "See you've upset Dick now!"

Archibald: "It's not MY fault!"

Auntie Joan: "I'm OFF, you're all nutters!"

Archibald: "See what you've done now!"

Bob: "Good riddance!"

Archibald: "Hey don't you talk to my auntie like that!"

Bob: (taking a big drag at his pipe) "Oh yeah!"

And so on and so forth.

Sigh!

No answer, eh?

Did you happen to notice this news article and the discussion prior to your rabbit trail is about eschatology?

I attempted to make a point that some eschatological views (Dispy, pre-mill rapture, etc.) are wanting because their hermeneutic cannot reconcile historical types, such as the inheritance of land, with their NT, NC realities such as the inheritance of eternal life.

If you've got anything to say about that, have at it but don't expect me to chase after your distractions.

Well, if you were offended or fooled in any way by me and Mike and John UK attempting to be humorous, then I apologize for my part and ask your forgiveness. I agree, no one wants to look foolish and if the things I wrote caused that then I am truly sorry. I agree with you; the ones who do the fooling are the ones that sin. But, please don't think in any way that your comments couldn't have been somewhat structured differently.

Enough said and I am not being humorous at all in this post. Perhaps the next time it might be better to simply ask someone if they are really being serious or not?

Mike, now I know I am obsessed with this, but if I say something that I clearly didn't mean to say, then I "must" correct it. What I meant to say was that I "am" going from a non-voter to a Romney voter. You were instrumental in that change.
Disagreed - Okay, I agree with you. I just hope you realize that "every" post that discussed agreeing or disagreeing was purely in jest. If you didn't understand that then I am really confused, but so be it. But your tone is certainly not something that comes across well when confronted with humor or jesting.

And, I agree with you, I am not going from a non-voter to a Romney voter. See just how influential you really are.

And to think, all this agreeing stuff began with me trying to help John UK with 1 Ti 3.

As long as we have unity in truth and not truth in unity, then we are on the same page. Some famous fellow said that but I forgot which one.

Now, I am going to simply ignore John y's comment. Yes I am being frank.
